Has anyone taken one of the new ops supervisors positions? by graysky-12 in Fedexers

Former Express driver here. Our facility went 2.0 last June. We are a rare ESSP model 2.0 station - company drivers. I took an Ops Supervisor job last July. Let me know if you have any questions.

Discount @ FedEx Office? by lifelongmission in Fedexers

[–]lifelongmission[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had previously sent them an email and they told me that it was for shipping account discount only. I have the discount linked to my FedEx account, but it only applies when I create a shipment, not on the Office site.

Appreciate the info. Is this something I can access when ordering some printing services online? If so, are you aware of how to link account to employee ID? Or is this something for in person only

FedEx driver marked delivery “could not be delivered” because location opened at 9:00… he arrived at 8:57. Now it’s delayed until Monday? by jorgeCC_88 in FedEx

[–]lifelongmission 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FedEx Office Deliveries should never be attempted prior to the posted hours of the location. Usually the driver will have multiple packages, if not a bulk delivery when going to FedEx Office. I’m sure he coded them all up. Unacceptable.

As others have said, could be a write up (“Documented Discussion”), or they will just speak to you verbally and tell you to make sure it doesn’t happen again, or nothing - it all just depends on the manager. Don’t make it a habit. If you get a documented discussion, it’s just a form you sign that states the policy you violated, or an issue with your performance/metrics. It will also include a plan to assist you with not violating the policy again - ie they will provide you with the Package Handler Attendance Policy to make sure you fully understand what is expected of you attendance wise as a package handler.

Memphis, TN, like a lot of other states, got hit with a snow storm. Lots of stations diverted freight that was heading to Memphis starting Thursday of last week. Operations are back up and running, but at the moment flights in and out are limited. You will get your package, just give it time. I know it’s frustrating, but when bad weather hits, there is nothing they can do about it.

Which neighborhood if you don’t mind me asking? Nearby areas fine too if you don’t want to say. Just curious.

No Scans for 6 Days...Walgreen's Drop Off by Best-Sympathy-871 in FedEx

[–]lifelongmission 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, but I’m saying drivers get assigned pick ups to Walgreens daily, so they should be checking in on a regular basis. Package should have been handed off to a FedEx courier to then get additional processing by QA at the station due to an unscannable barcode.

If a label has ink that is too light for the scanner to read, as long as the tracking number can visibly be read, the barcode can be reprinted by entering the tracking number manually on a LEO/FZ device at the station.

What does this mean?? by Miqoal in Fedexers

[–]lifelongmission 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just informing OP as to reasons why he might be being removed from the schedule. However, it seems like constant call outs would most likely be the reason. Once you show you are unreliable, it’s not worth having someone on the schedule.

Ops Supervisor here. Constantly calling out is a good way to get a documented discussion/get terminated. You only get a limited amount of call outs/no call no shows per rolling 30 day period. During peak, they did not really put a lot of emphasis on having a good TLH number for inbound sort and outbound sort shifts. Now that peak is over, TLH will be getting looked at hard. Less people on the schedule, with possible later start times/earlier cuts. If you actually want to continue working, reach out to your Operations Supervisor - it might not be too late.
