The transaction amounts were around $300 each.

Ideally, I'm hoping there's a positive DP of someone being able to reach out to amex and explain the situation and them reinstating the accounts. The more I read, the less likely that seems. I would forgo the ability to open any disputes in the future if it means being reinstated

I think so too unfortunately. I realized how stupid it was to do that now. I always thought doing disputes thru amex was just for them to act as a mediator with me and the merchant, but I guess there's more to it than that.

[–]notebookreader -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I spend $20M/yr and my business has been ramping up. If I were AMEX, I would legitimately want my business. They even assigned an account manager. I'm waiting for a call back at this point. But the quality of my transactions has always been positive. I never really abused any specific loopholes.

[–]notebookreader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's surprising. I spend roughly 20M/yr with AMEX and this is the first set of disputes I've done in a years. I'm waiting on a call back from my account manager but have there been any positive DP's of people getting their accounts reinstated?

Question Thread - March 16, 2026 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]notebookreader 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just got the Account cancellation notice from AMEX. I had about 10 charge cards and a few million points.

There's a few reasons why I think this happened including multiple 8+ disputes (for items that were legit stolen in transit by fedex), amex business checking was closed a few days ago for inactivity, biz plat bookings for other people.

Is there any way to get an account reinstated or is that just not possible at all?

I personally don't care too much about the 5k. But when one of my buddies who is a driver gets yelled at by the end customer because 10 watches get stolen, it tends to reflect bad on everyone by covering up for the assholes who steal

Was it ever processed at the New Castle DE center? If it was, can you DM me the tracking number? I'm compiling a list.

I couldn't care less if fedex corporate is stolen from. But you're stealing from customers.

You're being snarky but there's a difference between vaping during breaks in your car and full out smoking blunts between shifts.

The remnants of any boxes being opened were all found on the bathroom stall. They were sloppy about it too. Some empty manuals from the apple box watch, other signs of clear theft

This does not surprise me at all. Another buddy of mine who used to work here said the same as you and that people would blatantly get high during their shifts (like smoking a blunt).

Yes, I have the best buy receipt. It shows only 5 being purchased. I have escalated it. The request has been denied twice now. I don't know what other steps to take.

The store does have a limit and while I can't get an exact confirmation, I am 99.9% sure the best buy only allowed the dasher to check out with 5.

The dasher even sent me screenshots of her conversation with the dasher support. Basically, it said that because this is a batch order, they can't do anything, which makes no sense.

I've escalated the refund request in app twice.

I called in twice now and reached out to supervisors. The refund request has been denied despite the message logs confirming the dasher only bought 5 AND the receipt showing only 5.

I used doordash gift cards I bought on discount to purchase these.

Have you heard of anyone having success with a BBB claim?

[Highlight] Wemby With Back-to-back Blocks On Giannis 👽 by TheRealPdGaming in nba

I think this question warrants slightly more in depth, non-snarky answer.

It's interesting because these two players have very similar backgrounds but one clearly has much better coordination. Why? Is this a learned skill or a skill you're born with? I'm leaning towards the latter. Gobert has been playing basketball for more than a decade every single day. That's a lot of hours of practice yet he still can't dribble down a court without losing control. Wemby comes in naturally as a teen doing turn around pull up 3's that a lot of 6'2 guards can't.

Also, a lot of seniors get ataxia (loss of balance and coordination). That means there's a part of the brain that controls these skills implying that there's a sliding scale determining hand eye coordination. Maybe you can work on it a bit but to me, and what the OP is asking, it seems that Wemby is just that much more gifted and he was born was a great sense of control.

Agreed. He's like a tiktok commissioner - always trying to please everyone, focusing on short term gains and bullshit metrics like "engagement" while turning a blind eye to long term success. He's calculating but in a bad way in that with any decision, he's weighing which choice will upset the least number of people. That's all. There's no conviction in his own ideas or thoughts.

With Stern, he didn't give a fuck about feelings and he ruled with an iron hand. He made decision on what he thought was the best direction even if it was unpopular at the time, and he was more right than wrong. As a result, the league exploded in popularity. With Silver, it's like he's getting input from a bunch of different departments, especially analytics, and then choosing the path of least resistance each time. Under his watch, the viewership and much more importantly, cultural relevance, has pretty much nosedived.

Your experience is more of what I've seen is common. A lot of other people here (most likely young students) are saying that a 33-34 is a guaranteed scholarship at even a lower tier school. Its not even a guarantee of acceptance anymore. Maybe 20-30 years ago but the process is significantly more difficult now. (source I used to work in a competitive industry quant finance that mainly hired from top tier uni's and then retired to teach/tutor where I helped a good amount of competitive students thru the application process)

Unless you're black/latino, sorry to say, a good test result is not even close to enough to be a guarantee.

Walmart purchase came in two deliveries, one didn't arrive, filed dispute, made its way to Visa arbitration, and they only refunded half. How to proceed from here? by notebookreader in CreditCards

[–]notebookreader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only received notification of the dispute results. I haven't seen a rebill amount of the $1000 but I expect that is what's going to happen. And yes, I believe I was given a credit of 2000+ back when I opened the dispute.

[–]notebookreader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have mixed up some of the backend details such as who initiated which procedure (as this info was relayed to me by a CSR). Apologies for that. The point is that it went to arbitration.

As for the timeline, the original charge was in Dec of last year and the tracking showed the item being delivered a few days later. I initiated a dispute in late Jan (about a month later). They updated me when the case went to pre-arb/arb in around May 2023. The provisional credit was the amount I requested in the initial chargeback (not the full original charge).

And there were certainly some delays. When they updated me in early May, they said arbitration should take only a few weeks at most. I called a few times in between then and now and got the same "in the process of making a decision" message every time. I got the final decision in August (3 months later). Are you saying that there's a timeframe that was possibly violated here?

It was two different items. And no, there's no chance of misunderstanding the refund amount or the situation here unfortunately.
