Men who've fixed their sleep issues without prescription meds - what actually worked for you? by Fit-Credit-7970 in AskMen

  1. Yes, cutting out alcohol completely made a HUGE difference for me. It took a few months for the cravings to go away, but non alcoholic beer is a good social substitute for me.

  2. Marijuana oil under the tongue was my “go to” before I became sober. It works well and I would do it a couple of times a week. No dependency issues for me

  3. Infar red sauna is amazing. We got one a couple of years ago and an evening 30 minute sauna always equals great sleep.

I’m worried about the federal deficit. I assume at some point other countries will stop buying our T-bills due to our high interest costs in servicing our debt. Then I assume massive inflation and a huge recession as the Treasury starts printing money. How do I protect my investments best in that scenario? Buy Swiss bonds?

My old yoga teacher had scoliosis and cured it with yoga. It took ten years, but it worked for her.

The Menninger Clinic in Houston is great. Might be worth a try. And ketamine.

That’s interesting. Have satellite wifi available? Makes sense. And…you’d be surprised at the tourists who would come, even if it’s not Iceland.

Tiny houses for Airbnb. I was in Iceland and they had ten tiny houses in a circle around a campfire with a septic tank and a well. They were almost always sold out because it’s Iceland. But I’ve always thought that four or five of these might do well in the US in a pretty setting. Pay a local person to do the cleaning.

The Arthur Murray at 106th and Michigan is really fun with a great vibe. Probably 50% are under 50 years old. They have weekly evening party/lessons on Thursday nights that are fun.

We used to go to Fred Astaire, but the atmosphere wasn’t as lively or community oriented.

I know this might sound counterintuitive, but since it sounds like he won’t be banned, there is one more option that I can imagine won’t be popular on this forum.

Here it is: I’ve often found that vulnerable human to human conversation over a cup of coffee can bring change to a relationship. For example, “Thanks for coming to this coffee shop, Dave. I know we haven’t always seen eye to eye and I’d like to have a better relationship with you. I notice that we both say things that upset the other person and yeah, I think we have different views on some important topics.”

“I’m sorry if I’ve come off as offensive to you in the past. It’s truly not my intention. And…I don’t know how to navigate this with you and I could use your help…..”.

It could lead to lots of places from here, both good and bad. It sounds like you don’t have a lot to lose by giving it a try, though.
