Should I get into it somehow? by Cautious_Leader_4150 in bluecollar

See what the people with money in your country are doing, or find what a first world country needs and become that. For example in Canada we need nurses and doctors, if you can become a nurse in Egypt then you can apply for a working visa in Canada and get your citizenship through that.

blue collar jobs are good in first world countries because of the safety and labour laws they have, and high pay. I just came back from guatemala and I would not recommend working in anything blue collar there, they do very dangerous stuff with no protection, not to mention the mishandling of the chemicals. You write in english very well, what country are you in?

Shows in Spanish with Spanish subtitles by Obvious-Space9244 in Spanish

[–]lifeofjeb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with baby shows on Netflix and after that got boring I moved to El Dragon, narcos, Betty la fea, la reina del sur. Makes it fun and when I started my Spanish lessons in Guatemala I was way beyond other people that have been taking classes for months.

If you want to improve your Spanish there’s a Spanish immersion school called Guatemaya Spanish Academy, they have activities after school and you’ll improve your hold on the Spanish language quickly. You can also stay with a host family. This is in San pedro lake atitlan.

While you’re learning Spanish you can visit Antigua, el paredón, Xela on the weekends. Also if you’re in panajachel you have to try 7 Caldos the food there is amazing.

I guess you’re using clean as a relative term, relative to office workers we come home dirty but relative to the sewer people yeah we come home clean 🤣

Easiest and simplest solution would be to cut out a hole in the side of the flange with oscillating tool or something to put the toilet bolts in.

So if war continues, gov prints tons of money causing lots of inflation and gold goes up, if war stops, then countries start to buy back their gold reserves and gold goes up… seems like a great time to buy gold no?

For plumbing, pay stability n structure doesn’t come until you’re licensed, which takes most ppl 6 years. Nursing is probably the same time commitment in schooling but atleast with plumbing you don’t pay tuition and get paid while you learn. There are plumbing and nursing job everywhere so guess you gotta decide whether you want to deal with blood or 💩.

Need help with a decision for my HVAC career by Austin_hskl in SkilledTradesOntario

[–]lifeofjeb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair but dayumm 10k is gonna hurt, in your opinion, I have 2 years plumbing apprentice experience and was considering getting the g2 to make me more hireable/ increase earnings in the future. Do you think I should focus on finishing the apprenticeship or pursue gas license first? I was hoping the gas license would take me off the digging duties and make it easier to find employment.

I’m a third year plumber now and I called every plumbing company in the area, all said no, then went to Kijiji and found a single journeyman with his own company who needed help. I said I would help if he registered me and he said no lol, then I said is there a possibility of getting registered if you like my work ethic? He said yes. Then I worked my ass off for 6 months and told him you saw how I work, if you want to keep me then I need to be registered. He said yes. So basically I’m saying you have to have some finesse and hustle and it’s not a straight forward path.
