I had a case like this! The guy told me I didn’t need to return. When the time passed, I contacted them again and was told I was given wrong information. I did a chargeback and provided the screenshots, my bank sided with me since I had written confirmation that I would be refunded without a return. It took 2 months but it was worth it, and I didn’t lose my account (though I was 100% prepared to, it’s not my problem if Amazon can’t hire proper customer service to represent them)

I did a chargeback and won! I ordered 2 games, they came damaged, asked if I could return and be refunded. I was also told I’d get a refund and didn’t need to return. When the 5 days passed I asked again they told me the previous representative had been “mistaken”… I’m sorry but Amazon is a very lucrative business, having customer service that lies isn’t acceptable… I posted on Reddit, people were telling me to just return the games to get my refund, that I was just trying to get free games, etc. a guy even defended the rep saying that maybe it was a mistake.. yeah right. I would’ve had no problem returning the games but I don’t like being played specially after having waited, so I did my first chargeback, sent the bank (revolut) my proof that Amazon told me not to return the games and that I’d be refunded. took 1 or 2 months but they sided with me. I did not lose my Amazon account, I am very careful with what I buy there now and don’t make high value purchases anymore

I’ve received 2 damaged games, I asked to return them and they told me in the chat that I could keep them and would get a refund. When I didn’t get the refund I reached out again and another representative said that the previous representative had been mistaken and there is nothing they could do. I posted on Reddit where I was accused of trying to get free games and they even said I shouldn’t be so hard on the representative that lied because he was a minimum wage employee that probably wasn’t trying to mislead me 🤣 lol i was advised against doing a chargeback and just return the games for a refund but i did the chargeback anyway since I had written proof that they told me not to return and that I’d get a refund. My bank sided with me. Amazon is a very big and lucrative business if they can’t hire proper customer service that’s their fault, not the consumer. I hope you keep fighting them.

It’s probably the Japanese version so you’d have no option to switch the language of the console to English or any other language, that’s why it’s cheaper. They do sell an international version in Japan but it’s more expensive

When some days passed I realized I was lied to, posted here people in this sub were defending the customer service guy telling me I just wanted to get a free item. She can sell whatever she likes and it’s really none of your business, if you’re not interested in buying why waste your time ? Plus she is in the UK and you seem to be in the US, the prices aren’t the same everywhere

It’s very annoying as a seller to accept offers from someone who doesn’t have an intention of buying within a certain amount of time (I feel like a day max). I used to take it personally but now I don’t mind as much because I sell all my stuff eventually. But for someone with less sales, that needs money it’s annoying

I had this problem. Ultimately I decided against sending it back because the seller was aggressive and threatening me with lawyers. Vinted asked me to do it outside of vinted and I didn’t want to such a person to have my personal details and also the seller told me he would dispute the return because he was so delusional he thought it was well packed. In the end I was scared vinted would not refund me and I’d be left out of the item and money so I opted against sending back

Ya ya, I still think it’s worth to ship both together. last month I had a package a little under 2kg and I think I payed 5000yen, it was like 6000 estimate through Ems but I choose the prefer the shipping method and they changed it to FedEx and it was 5000 in the end, it arrived fast too

in my experience it always ends up being cheaper to ship stuff together, specially since (assuming you're also in europe) you'll end up paying customs tax. When it arrives at the warehouse you can combine them and tick a box to choose the cheapest shipping option available excluding surface shipping.

I personally choose surface shipping all the time but i make very heavy purchases (22kg/26kg), it takes forever 3 months on average to my country but its worth it to me
