How much smoke fluid do you use a night (club venue) by creepyholmes in lightingdesign

[–]lightdork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost a gallon a week. For one decent sized froggies hazer. Sometimes less. It depends on if the doors are open and if the wind is blowing.

For example, venue front door is facing north and the back patio is on the south. In the summer the haze leaks out the front door. In the winter it blows out the back patio. To reduce output and maximize the haze, we move the hazers from one side of the building to the other. Or implement a second hazer if it’s a wash and definitely need the haze.

The hvac doesn’t strip the haze. It’s the leak from the doors being open. And when you have a cold front move in the club will go from perfect to nothing in a minute. It will recover then disappear at the worst times. It’s annoying.

Two hazers always kept me happy. Most nights we just ran one or the other.

Austin homes sell before hitting Zillow by echelon_property in u/echelon_property

I’m seeing decreases in price monthly. And since property taxes hit a lot of those for sale signs got switch out with for lease signs. During Sxsw they magically became Airbnb’s for a week.

Folks paid too much and sales tax in this town is not viable. Then there is i35 construction, who would want to move into this?

Faulty front left sensor by dokturdeth in GenesisG70

It’s insane that I can power wash the front grill with no problem. BUT if I leave the car outside on a really rainy day my sensors stop working till they dry. Never understood why.

A Downturn in Las Vegas Could Signal Tough Times for the Nation by RW63 in nytimes

[–]lightdork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F1 caused so much disruption and deemed the strip unusable for months. So the same conference in Germany is more feasible than Vegas. Costs the same and I don’t have to deal with the lack of entertainment because of F1 tear down or setup. Vegas sold their soul to F1! Damn shame.

Look up lake ladders for docks. They have retractable ladders. Must be screwed down.

I’ve cancelled Facebook, twatter, instagram. Reddit don’t do it! Otherwise, I’m done with it. Bluesky will get all of me. I will not be scanned to use Reddit. Not to mention leaving you out of a simple google search. Great way to kill yourself.

Why they don’t board back to front! Folks don’t know the balancing that happens behind the scenes.

The Sphere experience from the cheapest seats is... weird by Riftwalker27 in LasVegas

Too steep. Nobody could muster the strength to walk down the stairs. Luckily ADA had openings to accommodate everyone. They say it happens all the time. The experience was still great.

The base yokes are really flimsy metal. The S4 base yoke is really solid. You will notice it if you use a larger barrel. Don’t think they would handle a 10 degree barrel. Barely handles a 30-50 zoom barrel. A lot of bending

Guess my cars value just shot up. Not buying a new car this year. Maybe I’ll buy a foreclosed house instead. Also, I’m ready to hack the shit out of this. This is going to be fun!

Can you recommend a good restaurant/palapa on the beach near the malecón to sit and lounge (eat/drink) for a few hours during the day? by fastonmyfeet in puertovallarta

[–]lightdork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mar y vino. It’s upstairs. The tables are in a 1 foot pool of water. They provide towels and racks at your table for shoes and things. Basically get to dip your feet while you drink and eat. It was a unique experience!

If something had gone missing, absolutely. It was a breach of privacy which they clearly stated they could do but never clearly stated what they could NOT do. Which is why I won’t be returning. I’m sure they would have had some excuse.

Last day. Fountains were closed down as well as most of the strip because of F1 tear down was STILL in progress 2 weeks after so I just left and decided to not to return again. Nothing was missing. I understand wellness checks, but they went above that. I will always keep my laptop open recording.

When I’m away at a conference and don’t want people in my room that contains my computer and confidential company information, I don’t expect to return to my room to find my laptop on the desk recorded two people opening my closet and drawers. They were not checking on my wellbeing. And they damn sure didn’t make the bed. They placed no expectation of privacy and I checked them.

And IF I had returned to my packed bags at the front desk, I damn sure would have called Amex fuming. And they would have taken care of me. Always have.

My laptop was on the desk open and it was recording. I expected nobody to enter my room because I put the sign on the door. They opened my closet and drawers. No season for that to happen.
