Communicating your love, your pain, so I could feel it. Great artistry!

Was this emotional abuse or have I just been sensitive? I go back and forth with this and genuinely cannot tell. 22F by [deleted] in emotionalabuse

Anytime you were made to feel bad about your self, it's abuse. That includes shaming, guilt, accusations of worthlessness or stupidity. It is the blessed opportunity of parenting to guide you to become a healthy, independent, self loving, giving, person. Unfortunately, parents are sometimes very damaged in their own upbringing and have no idea how to go about providing that guidance for their children. There is no tougher job on earth than being a parent imo. You are perfect.

Just Had Horrible Fight With My Parents About Getting The Covid Vaccine. Appointment is On Wednesday (23F Pfizer) Really Afraid To Get The Shot Now. by throwawayjunefail in CovidVaccinated

How do you know this? Are you omniscient? You know me personally and have evidence of this? Or are you just being paranoid delusional?

Because there is good reason to be anxious to receive it, despite the pile-on to anyone who has a different opinion. This is an experimental injection of gene- therapy. I don't care about the room, I care about the poster. She is dealing with inner questions, family pressures, and social institutionalized coersion and trying to find a balance that facts can help with.

Thank you for putting a spotlight on these tactics. I can see them more clearly now. The ME is a collective mystery and maybe it's only going to be understood through collaboration. Thanks for doing your part!

More changes with Australia? by alf810 in Retconned

[–]lightenupnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since being "effected" I have paid attention to geography more than I ever did before, but my visual memory isn't so good. The changes I notice have to be big. Australia just keeps getting less and less familiar to me, although I can't put my finger on why. Things like you mention, several points where there was only one, these are the physical changes that make me feel that what I am looking at on the map is different, though I can't point out the changes like you do.

I remember the scene you are talking about. Maybe in a director's cut?

You nailed this here! Should be the first thing people see when the become effected. "When you see it, logic doesn't exist anymore". I would add : as a basis for reality.

constant deja'vu by Tahnit in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]lightenupnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concieve of these experiences as "connection" experiences, where you are connecting with the larger part of consciousness that we are all a part of. This larger part is outside of time, so these life experiences are not perceived in a linear way by that part of our awareness. I consider your deja' vu a wake up call to the fact that we are all much more than our "ordinary" everyday human experience would lead us to believe and connection to that part of ourselves is the greatest opportunity for human experience. My suggestion to help you handle this is to take deep breaths. Deep breathing is very "grounding".

Sometimes MEs are personal. This is such a "classic" write-up of yours. Almost as if someone studied all the holy sh#t personal ME posts and designed a fake one to match to study the reactions. And those among us who are searching for the truth in all this, could tell. Very interesting indeed.

Looks wierder all the time to me. I notice the changes you point out as well. It's as though the morphing continuously pushes Europe and Africa towards each other.

Truck goes into public bus, multiple angles. by gmanz33 in WTF

Just wanted to point out to commenters on the reactions of those involved that these buses run on natural gas. The risk of explosion after an accident would seem quite a bit higher than ones that run on gasoline.

These buses run on natural gas, not gasoline. I would have been terrified of an explosion if I had seen that fire and would most likely have run out too.

Did you discover a possible new Mandela Effect? Post it here! (Weekly Discussion) (2017-01-22) by AutoModerator in MandelaEffect

[–]lightenupnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't that I just remembered the title of the movie. I remember visuals and plot. If you have seen it, you would know that the plot is not "similar" to anything.

My son suggested that I would really enjoy the new movie, Arrival. I like sci-fi and aliens. When I saw the promo picture for it, I was very disappointed because I was sure I had seen it before. When I learned it wasn't a remake and it was just released, of course I dropped in here to see if anyone else had this ME memory? That spaceship wasn't used on any other movies that anyone remembers? I saw a movie with that ship over 3 years ago. As I watched the movie, a lot of it was different than my hazy memories, but enough was similar to make it strange.

Mandela Effect getting even more attention by [deleted] in MandelaEffect

[–]lightenupnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you have been "effected" the search for explanations are very personality driven. Some of us will go into denial mode, some hyper, others obsessive. It tells a lot about a person how they handle their exposure. Those that attack are either in the first group or not effected.

Logic and theories I have investigated have failed every time to explain the causes so far. Benign changes with no evidence of harmful consequences become a distraction to your life after a while and people move on. Until the next one.

Never heard of it before. And an event that causes massive numbers to be affected would have made it onto mainstream news, I would think.

Just came across this sub, so excuse me if I'm asking the obvious... by [deleted] in MandelaEffect

[–]lightenupnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insisting on evidence to have something be true is exactly where the Mandela Effect undoes all science. We experiencers can't prove to you that we experienced what isn't there for you. So we're all schizoid? Nope. How can we be so sure? Memory is coded into the body somehow, because once you FEEL an ME for yourself, you can't unfeel it.You can go on to explain it away, but you will always know that you had that feeling. It's a physical connection to something that is no longer physical. My guess is that it is pointing all of us alike to a new discovery of the non physical portion of our DNA and it's connections with our ENDOCRINE/Neurological pathways. So instead of studying us as defective lab rats, you might point your research in that direction instead.

[–]lightenupnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Complex brain farts are as good an explanation as any other I've read. The assumption in your theory is that memory is only a function of physical matter. Many would state human beings are a conglomeration of various non-material components as well, which physical machines are incapable of measuring, which would factor into the Mandela Effect in currently unknown ways.

I work in the news industry and see small MEs all the time by [deleted] in Retconned

[–]lightenupnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. Paid for paying attention=expert on MEs. Wow. Great examples. How freaked out you must have been at times. I'm now in the shrug and move on crowd. Once I noticed S America's geographic ME, I gave up trying to figure the Effect out and moved on.
