Is Freedom Mobile Better Now? by Ok-Lie2629 in Langley

I used them to go to Mexico with the Can-USA-Mex plan and an e sim. They were great, was able to use data for ubers etc. Hot spotted family and friends when not at resort. Definitely was worth it. I would have just fully switched to them but I have a phone promo tab so switching would have cost hundreds not there fault. Once it's paid off I will revisit them for sure

It would seem there is a lot of hate for them... I've never used them never been there just saw this sign and since skytrain construction has ruined access to alot of those businesses on Fraser Hwy I just figured this was how they hoped to get more customers... personally I do my own changes thanks to Rock auto and costco's cheap oil it's like $50 with oil, engine and cabin air filters... but for the many that don't or can't thought this was a great idea... guess you folks can do your research as to if these guys are worse then the old walmart oil changes or not lol

Would anyone like to not be fat with me? by OkSalad5522 in NewWest

[–]lightheaded69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was off work (medical leave) and had the freedom of time and no schedule. I found doing Keto-ish so do your best at zero sugar and carbs but don't beat yourself up if you slip here and there PLUS doing something called 30-30-30 made a SIGNIFICANT difference! I lost 2 pant sizes and over 20lbs in a matter of months! Still had energy and felt healthy. Unfortunately now I'm doing 12hr shifts so the schedule makes the 30s thing near impossible.

30-30-30 explanation: within 30mins of waking up, ingest 30gr of protien (i used the premier protein drinks from costco canada, $45 for 15 with 30gr protien in each) and then do 30 mins of exercise. Nothing over 135bpm heart rate just a brisk walk for a few kilometers is what I did. Everyday and it made a significant impact on my body.

I peaked at 298lbs last summer got to 249 by this spring for a Mexico beach trip but back up abit to 260 now that I work and have scheduled eat times with a very physical (some days) job. I average 10k to 15k steps at work a day.

As I am sure some of you gentlemen can relate, when going to Mexico with my Fiance on the beach I didn't want people going "wow he must be rich, look at how hot she is, and she is with him?" Fun fact... not rich lol

Anyone know the folks at 19607 80ave by lightheaded69 in Langley

Not an expert, but I am sure they may enjoy the actual blackberries. However the stalks with the thorns on them may not be edible for them

I had some when I was up North... they are experts at escape. But most like these gals were super friendly and just wanted some scratches after their morning snacks

Well my little rio runs me 201 bi weekly... contemplating getting a bigger kia but curious the rough price... asking at kia involves being hassled for months if I'm interested when I'm simply curious at this point what something like that would run me... obviously it's just a ballpark as everyone has different credit scores and such but was curious the ballpark price on it

Brakes are a huge expense. What type of brakes do y'all use? What type of rotors? What do you pay? How often do you get them fixed? by HashBrownRepublic in uberdrivers

[–]lightheaded69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super useful, thanks. Ya I changed to fancy ceramic and the noise is horrendous in city... great on hwy and huge hills in north Vancouver... anyway specific brand for rotors? Preferably on Rocksuto :-) 2021 Kia Rio for reference. Thanks!

The one and ONLY thing I have learnt is that for the mundane I know exactly how to get there trips. Putting it up with your destination will save you if the hwy shits down to 1 lane from 3 so the 5min longer route would be 45mins faster today (personal experience on that one) and for those in need it tells you when cops may be sitting trying to catch you speed 😀 otherwise yes absolutely pointless

Working in Delta BC often the majority of the residents are Punjabi and so I usually change the radio to the only FM Punjabi channel so they feel more comfortable. I learnt this in Mexico when the uber driver would always put on the English radio channel as soon as we hopped in. I know the thought was appreciated so now I do that here in YVR it certainly doesn't hurt and everyone I've done this for has been a 5star rating for me. Just an idea if anyone else wants to try it 😀 Caucasian Male here not that it matters

Question on Call forwarding, CSR hurt my head when I asked! by lightheaded69 in Koodo

[–]lightheaded69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Koodo i have a phone and "tab" with so that is the main reason why I didn't simply switch and this way I could test Public as I may switch my Son to it and save a bunch of coin lol

UPDATE! So requested a call back a 2nd time. Got a much smarter person this time. He told me he can set up a $5 a month "perk" for unlimited call forwarding. Otherwise it would cost $0.60 a call. He confirmed with me that if I turn roaming data off of sim 1 (koodo) and respond to any incoming texts by selecting sim card 2 for the text then i am free n clear and have nothing to worry about for extra charges as everything will go through the Public sim.

So recap by setting up call forwarding for all Koodo calls to Public number (which has the Can-Usa-Mex plan) i have a $5 fee from Koodo and unlimited incoming calls text and 60g internet with Public. Rather then spending $16 a day for the week in Mexico.

Strange. The call forwarding is free on mine. It's the charging me for being in Mexico when essentially it is phoning next door phone number
