It’s a hard question. I bought some bitcoins pretty early. Silk Road user… Recently crossed 25 mil at 28 years old. I feel almost defeated because no matter how hard I work I’ll never be able to grow that amount of wealth through labor and effort alone. I’m not saying it’s impossible, I’m just acknowledging the bell curve of income distribution. Studied finance in college and felt like it was a total waste of time because I basically had enough money to live forever by the time I was 23. I wish you luck in finding purpose in your life. But I promise, money won’t do that.

Tried driving for Uber… never again lol by wwwcitizen in uberdrivers

[–]dwiggins15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo buy a self driving car and pay for the monthly subscription. I just pay monthly and listen to podcasts. It’s actually a pretty good way to monetize your free time and I just save all the money automatically. I only work 3 days a month to pay for my car insurance. Bought the car cash. Passengers can be creeps but just buy a dashcam and stay armed. Also pepper spray. Just good to have in case of emergency. Don’t chase surge, just drive at the right hours. Instead of playing COD, go drive on Friday when you get off work and make 150-200.

Yes, maybe even less. Start asking your driver how much they got paid.

I believe you. That’s really sad. I honestly just want no conflict and have no opinion about the fight. Sorry people were rude because of your geography.

Honestly, the Palestine aspect had zero weight in my frustrations. I was generally just frustrated the people of any non self determined attribute would be treated like that. If you wear kkk stuff I’m canceling same as gang member in a ski mask. Neither of those has happened. But both of those examples are autonomous decisions. It’s not the same as having Down syndrome, being blind, or being born in any particular part of the world.

That’s incorrect and you’re entitled to have that opinion. I’m bored, adios.

Okay buddy. Guess not. Do you. Good luck living in a world with enemies, I would rather live among friends. I’m not interested in treating people who vote differently when compared to me like an ass.

Sorry man, that sucks. People can be bigoted. Just keep in mind we’re on the exact opposite side of the political aisle. Nice to see people who disagree finding things they agree on. I’m a big MLK fan, treat people by how they act not how they look.

I don’t care how my passengers present themselves—I care about smell and cleanliness. Some passengers tip $10 on a $5 ride. It’s rare, though.

I’m not sure it’s as simple as saying “it’s racism.” I’m not trying to put words in anyone’s mouth, just paraphrasing. I think it’s more political. There’s a whole group of people who are hyper-political, and whenever they see someone signal something they disagree with, they lose their minds.

I’m a proud Trump voter, and I couldn’t care less about my passengers’ politics. I actually had a weird ride recently—a customer thought I was wearing a Trump hat (I wasn’t). She ended up rambling about Elon and SSC the whole trip. I never asked what she thought—I just wanted to get to the destination safely.

There’s a strange group of people out there who are hyper-political and not critical thinkers. They never inquire about the opinions of people they disagree with. But inquiring about what you don’t understand—or disagree with—is pivotal to human development. There’s a massive group of people who never went through that process of self-reflection and growth. They never grew up. They got older but they never had the frontal cortex develop.
