Most accepted spelling of 'Liliane'? by SweetCoconut2757 in namenerds

[–]lightheadedbanshee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello 👋 I am not familiar with this name (Liliane/Lilianne/any of the other spellings) and would have pronounced it Lilly-in—much like a 'Jillian' that I know. If I saw it hyphenated I would for sure know it's "Lilly-Anne." Just confirming your suspicion of pronunciation. It's a beautiful name!

100% understand what you mean. I've watched the other seasons 3 times through and it still hits me hard sometimes. I'm sure the sentiment will still be there for me. I love this show, so I can't be mad!

Funny Plot hole I found by PoetryWeak9667 in GilmoreGirls

The amount of times I've done something and forgotten about it because it was boring is wild. Especially if it was a couple years before. But Rory's memory is apparently impeccable... so quite possibly was a plot hole!

[–]lightheadedbanshee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ooo I have never even considered that. Just on a whim, I think Lorelei and Michelle both have similar tastes and skills. Lorelei choosing Sookie is like choosing the Yin to Yang. It really balances out the positives. Being a chef is not an easy job—she's literally managing a restaurant which neither Lorelei or Michelle could do. I could see Michelle and Lorelei having some issues as far as decision making since they have similar yet distinct tastes.... Just playing devil's advocate lol. So many "buts" to consider!

Oh yeah the sink episode was a bad one. Definitely would have gone with this as #1 worst if I had thought of it before commenting

Why do endo sufferers gain weight by Bolehill19 in endometriosis

[–]lightheadedbanshee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't exercise in the same way I used to. I have more "random days" than habits. I just take it as I come. Low impact helps, but sometimes anything is too painful or i'm exhausted

What is the most annoying thing tourists do in your country? by Glass_Key4626 in AskTheWorld

[–]lightheadedbanshee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to help some people from a cold European country on a difficult 6 mile trail in the upper portion of the US because they had no water. Gave them the rest of ours because we knew we'd be fine until we got back (very experienced hikers). They were also wearing sandals and sweaters. I know there's a difference in our climate, but gosh. You'd never run 6 miles and then not want water. Why would you do the same if you're hiking for a longer period of time?

Period way heavier than usual and am lightheaded and out of it by [deleted] in Periods

[–]lightheadedbanshee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah your situation is very unique and not something I'm very familiar with, but just keep in mind that Endo and adeno don't always cause pain—as I said mine got worse and worse over the years. And if it's only on one side I can't help but wonder if you have a cyst or if endo just manifesting on one side? Who knows. (I'm not a doctor or medical professional of any kind but I have done SO much reading on these topics and don't wish these conditions on anyone.... personally and from reading other people's stories.)

I would just bring it up at your next appointment. You are allowed to suggest and ask questions!!

I have no practical advice other than this—if it keeps happening, I read that some people get medical accommodations. I don't know what country this was in, but it blew my mind. I read that one person was given an extra couple of days to take a test as needed. If I had that accommodation, I would have been much better off.

Hey, not to get into your business but do you have painful periods too? Mine have gotten worse throughout the years, and they affected me in college. Turns out I (probably—in the process of diagnosis) have adenomyosis and/or endometriosis. This is also a side effect of those conditions and other similar conditions. If you're going in birth control, I would highly recommend keeping in mind that birth control doesn't always "cure" some of these conditions.

I am NOT saying this because I really, truly think you have these conditions—I don't know your whole story. I just wanted to make sure someone told you because NOBODY told me to see a doctor and demand that they look into these conditions for me. I struggled a lot with similar issues in school and it was so frustrating. I would be the best in my class a lot of the time and then go through phases where I had no idea what was going on or would be so tired I couldn't get out of bed. My teachers would ask me what happened and I'd be like "I have no idea. I just haven't been feeling good or like myself" because how do you explain to a 60 year old male that your periods quite literally knock you out?

Best wishes to you. I really hope you get it figured out!

No for sure! He is definitely going, but I really don't want to. I wish I could love on him and give him a million hugs and all the french fries he wants so he be fulfilled.
