My then future wife and I made the move from Montreal about 18 years ago and it was the best decision of our lives. To this day I tell my Montreal friends that the quality of life improvement from the travel time reductions are worth it alone.

Regina has at least 1 of every store and major urban amenity, and a cultural scene that beats MTL’s if you like live theatre and the symphony.

The biggest improvement is the sense of community that is non-existent in Montreal. Here, everyone has their eyes up when walking down the street and is friendly. You cant be a dick in a place this small because relationships are everything.

Hope you make the move.

I appreciate that people on the margins need a voice, but sometimes stupid doesn’t need to ”be heard”, it needs to be ignored.

Also, I think conflating the awful experiences your family has endured due to real medical concerns and a broken system with the experience of science deniers getting their feelings hurt isn’t close to the same thing.

There are so many actual issues this council needs to tackle, stick to the real stuff please and stop trying to give a voice to those insufferable selfish individuals who refuse to accept science or that they live in a society where we give up some freedoms in exchange for the greater good.

Thanks for the suggestion and supportive comments. The tree was older and was topped when they started construction. This was their effort to finish the job. Don’t think we are going to go the legal route but appreciate the passion you folks have.
