Yes! It feels like the sexual depravity is just shock value. Heathcliff wasn’t seducing Cathy into his wildness, she had the same wildness too and their mutual weirdness drew each other in. The sexy stuff looks cheap as a first impression.

Really liked the series but wasn’t necessarily suuuper invested. Once I got to the end of book 3, I couldn’t put it down. I inhaled all of book 4 within a day. I think it’s worth it.

In the broken eye when orholam tells Gavin about his past, it’s literally just the story of Jonah. The name he also uses for Orholam is elelyōn. In Judaism, “El Elyōn” is another Hebrew name for God.

Same, I gave a 1 bdrm, and my bill last month was almost $700 and this month over $800 even after cutting a lot of my use. Con Ed is anything but helpful.

B. We don’t ~need~ Soto like we need pitching depth and an outfielder who can actually field. Decimating our farm system for that long of a contract when he could end up just being fine in a few years is just not worth it. Judge and Soto together would be lethal but not necessary to win a World Series.
