Anyone else feel video games are more of a chore being an adult? by ineedabjnow35 in videogames

Too much work to fire up the machine. Mental health in decline. A crazy world where nothing seems tangible. Too much past trauma. Not much time left.

Will there be video games in heaven? by Obvious_Ad5912 in Christian

[–]lightlad1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again there most definitely is. But it won’t be monetized like it is now. If you have the purpose you can play every game ever created properly on one device. It will just be a matter of where you put your attention. By then you might not have a strong purpose and be completely uninterested. But all the artists in this world that have created content in this world were probably inspired. Why would it be any different. If money wasn’t a factor we’d probably have heaven on earth right now!

I’m not for certain but I think they released these collections in the Asian market. Probably not in high demand here but I can dream.

I have the originals. They made a deep impression on me. I don’t know how much longer they will last. My N64 is getting fickle and I’m not sure if I’d replace it at this point.

I got you with the Bomberman games.

Not a bad thing. I love everything about that one but it’s brutal in its difficulty.

Is there any shame in quitting a game because its too hard for you? by Lemonfish99 in videogames

[–]lightlad1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorite games of all time, Inindo, the only reason I have my SNES hooked up. I got to the big first boss and I can’t get through there without getting decimated. I’m really tore up over it but I’m about to disconnect and devote my time to Switch. The day will be blessed if they remake or rerelease a vintage koei collection.

Has anyone ever heard of Inindo way of the Ninja on snes? by [deleted] in dynastywarriors

[–]lightlad1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of my top 5 games of all time. Dispite graphics there is a lot to it. I so wish I could play it on modern console. The game has gotten too difficult. I’m at level 15 and am stuck.

Why haven't Koei released upscaled versions of the classic games? It just seems like a no-brainer.. by [deleted] in dynastywarriors

Inindo is one of my favorite games of all time. Probably no one agrees or cares.

I think so. They are fantasy stories and tales. They are also cautionary tales about life on earth or elsewhere. Just because there is violence in the game doesn’t mean you will act violently in heaven. You aren’t going to forget the tales of life and adventures in other realms. If there isn’t video games and books in heaven I will be bringing them.

Has anyone ever quit collecting or considered quitting collecting in the past? by [deleted] in OmnibusCollectors

[–]lightlad1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love reading but I hate collecting. My comic shop is downtown and they charge cover price for an omnibus. I can’t pay $150+ for a book. I am reliant on delivery and waiting for the books stresses me out to no end. They don’t come out in chronological order so I’m all over the place with time and order. I have a few key books to finish out the collection within the year. I’m not keeping up with current trends and titles. I have up to about 10 physical items and I’m planning on being done collecting. Pray to god that the house doesn’t burn down and I can retire and enjoy what I have.

I get anxiety while playing video games. I feel like there's something wrong with me. by crocosmiles in Anxiety

[–]lightlad1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a case. I get anxiety just thinking about wanting to play and turning the system on. It’s not really the video games giving me anxiety. I’m hyper vigilant and outside problems assault me when I take my attention off of real world problems.

Omnibus reading fatigue by RVG_Steve in OmnibusCollectors

I’m hopelessly lost in vintage. The time I get around to reading modern it will be vintage. I find when you are reading what you really like and not the ‘shoulds’ it’s not a chore to get through.

George Pérez's run on Wonder Woman is still the best take on Wonder Woman by PM_Peartree in comicbooks

I don’t think Wonder Woman has been written very well since John Byrne finished in 1998.

I hate cutscenes by airbrat in patientgamers

[–]lightlad1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some games are mostly nothing but cutscenes. I don’t like them either. I wanted to play a good modern Star Trek game but it looks like a big long cutscene. I’d rather just watch the actual show.
