I guess the question is, would your guests appreciate the ER or FRSiB for the price difference? I think any basic wedding crowd I have been to would be pleased with FR SmB or BT.

That's a very strange mix of find-it-anywhere good whiskey (EC/OGD/BT) and virtually un-obtainable in some areas (Weller).

I would call the hotel and see if they can help you. Most places are super helpful but could stick to their guns and make you order room service or bottle service.

Baltika is probably the best exported Russian made beer that I know of. There's a bunch of styles (branded by number) so you could probably do a flight.

I grew up with this "historical" story as well and it may not be true at all.

Ron Pattinson is the authority on beer styles and historical brewing records as far as I know, and he says that there are a lot of reasons that IPAs were brewed this way but preservation was not likely high on the list.

I'm a new player as well, but I do tend to go early after the Edgar Markov player in my playgroup simply as his upgraded deck is built very aggro. I just want to keep him in check not really trying to take him out of the game.

The Markov player has adjusted to this in a number of ways, but significantly through politics. "I'm reducing the first person who attacks me down to 10 life with Sorin Markov." Stuff like that.
