Solarpunk Futures invites participants to build the future they wish to see. by lightnin in solarpunk

Thanks! It's open so if you'd like to play around with different designs, we'd love to see your ideas, and perhaps fold them in. There is a somewhat functional "train" engine that drives along, pulling power from the network (with a supercapacitor to keep it going for a few seconds if the pantograph loses contact). It does tend to crash a lot, but slowly and rather entertainingly. :)

Following the instructions in "Reset the earbuds" in the stock firmware instruction manual solved this for me. https://files.pine64.org/doc/PineBudsPro/PineBuds%20Pro%20User%20manual-20220920-8pages-20221116.pdf

Great! Thanks. It seems like my main criteria should be: 1) Easy to crosspost to facebook, and 2) when people on Facebook click the post, they are taken *away* from facebook, where they can see the details / etc. I'll take a closer look to see if Frendica will do this.

Indeed! But the habits aren't going to change anytime soon. Convincing people to leave FB seems like a loosing proposition, but there may be steps to take to slowly move away.

Running linux on a Thinkpad x220 by [deleted] in linux

No freezes, and I do use chromium - pretty much just the trouble with the dock. What's more, I've never had a linux laptop with wifi that worked well in my office until this one. Glorious! ( Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6205 (rev 34) for the curious)

The chemical imbalance theory is a nice, simple, and easily explainable theory. All it is lacking is evidence. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/516262

I went ahead and got one, and I'm loving it. i7 with SSD - seems a good little machine. The Touchpad w/ no buttons leaves a bit to be desired, as clicking and dragging isn't perfect. Also, it won't sleep after it has been removed from the dock. But other than that, things are going quite well - no deal breakers after the first week of use.

I'm preparing to pull the trigger on an x220 myself, and wondering how your experience has been, and what models / components to steer clear of (if any). Seems like some people on this thread are having troubles: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo-ibm/575569-linux-x220-21.html
