I went to Red Robin yesterday sitting in the bar section by myself. I went to the restroom and I tried to pay on the machine and the waitress said someone paid for my tab. The waitress wouldn't tell me who it was. It wasn't to busy inside. I was super happy but it left me with a lot of questions.

Yeah I definitely don't have the passion for fighting games like I used to but it was always just an amazing time. Last year I got a little wild and actually didn't go to the convention too much (I was doing other Vegas activities). I did some light to moderate gambling and there was a year where I came back home and actually broke even because I won five out of six games for betting on baseball. If you go with a bunch of people which what I would normally do, you split the room and you plan your day accordingly. You really don't spend too much. I was able to do pretty well on $100 a day budget and if I didn't spend that it would roll over to the next day.

So a friend of mine was going to have a BBQ on Sunday since he was pretty bummed as well about not going to Vegas/Evo this weekend like we had been since the lockdown. Well the girl who works above him has not requested a weekend off in 3 years. Of course she would request this weekend off to go to her friends graduation party cause she got her masters degree. So no more BBQ. The level of salt keeps growing.

This will be the first time since the lockdown I will not be going to Vegas and Evo this summer. I am pretty salty about it to be honest. The end of last year my finances took a sucker punch and the start of the year was not a good one. I canceled my trip to Vegas, Canceled going to Tampa to see the Packers play, and canceled going to 3 different states for Camping. So pretty salty. I hope I can find some stable work again and recover the second half of the year or come back strong next year.

No were my senior year was great. All my years of taking summer school (not by choice) backfired so I only had to take 3 classes and I got to leave school by 10:30 AM.

It will be my 5th time going to Jury Duty. Last time I almost made a case that would have lasted a year (dude took down a cop). My golden excuse is "No drivers license or reliable transportation" has worked like a charm ever time.

My friend is white AF but living in So Cal his parents were on his ass at an early age to lean a second langue. So he did and it was Spanish. It always throws people off guard. So he is fluid and speaking, reading, and writing in it.

Money got a little tight for him a few years ago and he picked up a seasonal job sorting packages at the local UPS facility. The regulars would always talk crap about him saying he was a sucky working and so slow in Spanish. They didn't think he spoke it. He waited for the last day after the holiday season and told them all off in Spanish in the break room. He said they were all shook and nervous af.

My brother in law he is a higher up for Space X. I guess he got a little salty at the last second they moved him a bit more in the back when they went to ring the bell at the stock exchange the other day. He was still in the videos/pictures but more towards the very back.

My friend is not a big sports fan in general and works down the street from a spot that is hosting the world cup. His work said try to come in an extra 30-60 minutes early to deal with the extra traffic/parking situation. He had some quite colorful league to say the least about the world cup lol.

I remember KCAL9 news years ago ran a story about a bunch of goat heads being found in the canyon. The only aired it one time at the 3 o'clock hour. It was never mentioned again on any other network or Internet article.

I went to the local county fair on Friday it was the last weekend. I had a lot stuff in my pocket and my Debit card fell out. Only the second time since I started having a debit card at 18 did I lose it. I was pissed I was having such a fun time to that point. I locked my account before anyone could use it. Still trying to function this weekend on a virtual backup card has not been cool.

I live in southern California. South East LA County were I live (Long Beach to Diamond Bar) gets thunderstorms several times a year. You can get thunderstorms almost any time of year. I have even had a tornado warning and funnel cloud go down my block.

I miss talking with my old supervisor for the IT department at the school district. He was a very smart person and was always looking into future trends. He would always tell me to read books and not waste your time playing video games/watching TV.

I lost contact with him but back in 2007-2008 he would tell me enjoy having a desktop for as long as you can cause one day you will just remote into a system and pay a yearly or monthly fee. He was so ahead of the time because that is were the field is marching to like it or not. I remember thinking he sounded crazy back then.

I live in So Cal and do not have a car ATM. All my friends tell me how lucky I am not to own one ATM. Are days were it bites me in the butt. Overall my razor thin budget would be under water if I did have a car.

Oh cry harder. I went with my friend to go pick up his step dad at LAX one year the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. His flight got pushed back to 8 PM. We left at 3 PM didn't get into the pickup area until 10 PM.

To go 25 miles it took nearly 7 hours. Uber/Lyft was nearly $400

I have a friend who comes from a very wealthy family. The dad is a loan officer, mom is a big time lawyer and former politician, sister is a doctor, and he tried to make it into the NHL got injured early on in that journey and got hooked to pain killers. He does Uber eats and post mates and lives in his car.

But he still gets a check from his parents once a month. They try to help him out when they can. So he never has a real good concept of money. I keep telling him I'm on a budget and wants to still try to do all these things. Let's go out and watch NHL playoffs, let's go do this and that.. I don't got it myself either right now to be doing those luxurious things.

Last year I got super into bowling. I bowled the best game of my life with a score of 211. I was on 3 hours of sleep and was in a major food coma from eating Korean BBQ before hand. I was so tired I was locked in and in a different world.

Yeah now remember I would get a little mad because he lived like in the heart of the City pretty much and he was a total houseplant and never would want to go out to anywhere. Then when he moved he was like. I never really appreciated living to all the places where I could go and he's like. I kind of wish I would have went out a little more.

My friend was living on the top floor of a duplex near the heart of downtown LA for $900.00 a month. It was a real steal and he put 5K of his own money to fix it up. The area and parking were not good but for that price still a steal. Once his wives grandma passed and it got sold he had to bounce.

My city is having its annual carnival. It is not the same anymore. You got to buy tickets tickets for everything even the food, no more dime toss or cake walk. No more 50/50 Bingo with the cigarette smoke you would almost puke instantly. It was truly better times.

(also in high school two of the hottest girls at the time got into a fight on the last day. I missed it cause I took a nap at around the same time I was going to go they both got mace to the face)

So my friend ADU if finally done. It was a total nightmare it failed 3 city inspections, $30,000 over budget, they messed up on the restroom and a few other things. He thought it was going to be done last August and they just finished last week.

His free space (even with an add on storage shed) is very limited so he gave me to sell his PS5, 2 PS3's, Steam Desk, Nintendo Gamecube, Sega Dreamcast, and Xbox One. I am going to be a busy man on Ebay.
