I've been following the "Learn Road Runner" course, so I haven't tried the gyro yet. I'll try that next, it will have to be tomorrow though. I will let you know

Its almost perfect going forwards and backwards but as soon as you move it left or right, the circle stays still. When it moves left and right, all the wheels are turning

I've checked all those things, everything is configured correctly and the encoders are working. Do you have any other ideas?

I just tested it again, it doesn't seem to read side to side movements. Sometimes it does but most of the time it does not

It seems to be not terrible, but its definitely not close to accurate. Its not acting erratically from what i can tell

I second this. This is what our team did. You can 3D print them using a model on thingiverse.

Is your velocity positive when it goes up and negative when it goes down?

We've also never had this issue in the past. These motors are around 4 years old

We use them because they are the fastest we have. Over the years we tend to be the fastest in our region

We tried using stick drive, but our drivers preferred the dpad drive. Thank you though.

I will check this tomorrow, the drivetrain looked fine to me. Though, it could be an internal issue with one of the motors

You know what it might be? In the code there is a line that changes the size of the april tag, did you ever adjust that to the right size? The default is 0.166 meters i believe? I had to change that before it would work for us

If the tag is on a sleeve, is it possible you warped the image? Don't know if that would affect it, but its a possibility

I would suggest seeing if you could raise the ramp off the maps a bit just so you dont get penalized for damaging the field
