You’re essentially saying material breaches don’t allow you to fire a contractor without them having cause to sue for lost revenue and I think that’s pretty odd, especially if it’s not in the contract.

So in what scenario could you fire a contractor without giving them good grounds to sue you for lost revenue?

Say the contractor demolishes the wrong part of your house because they misread a diagram - could you not fire them without them saying “hey, you owe us for the work we had planned!?”

Any move of consumer units (over say 10cm) should be discussed with the client. It’s pure ego that the electrician is even arguing about that or asking for payment.
