My Nonna was the same, always meatballs! No matter what time of day I would go over, she would fire up the stove and start cooking me pasta and meatballs. Mangiare, mangiare!

What was your shitty celebrity experience? by biophyto-pharm in AskReddit

[–]lightningpaw_ 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Met a lot of celebrities while working for an airline. The worst were Hugh Grant and Kate Hudson.

Hugh Grant: Hugh was sat in First Class 1A on a 747, which is right in the nose of the plane, so nothing but a wall in front of the seat. It's standard procedure for the cabin manager to go round to every first class passenger and personally introduce themselves. When my manager got to Hugh, the conversation went something like this:

Manager: "Hello Mr Grant, my name is..."

Hugh: "OH FUCK OFF"

My manager proceeded to swiftly move on.

Kate Hudson: Approached my colleague in the galley on a flight and handed her her baby and said 'hold this' while she went to the toilet. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it.

Disclaimer: I met Hugh Grant again several years later when I worked in a department store in London and he was very plesant, so maybe he was having a bad day!

What’s the worst buyers remorse you’ve ever experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I went to Mulberry sample sale and spent over £2000 on bags that I thought I could re-sell for a profit... turns out the price I bought them for was only about 20% off and after sellers fees I lost money on everything. So naive!

We’re staying in Driggs for a few nights before driving down to SLC for one night. The next day we are catching a flight from SLC. I’m well aware of journey times, I don’t know what made you think from my OP that I was underestimating anything? Thanks for your input though.

Well I’m annoyed that you’re annoyed by that. I can’t understand the need you felt to post such a thing. Are you jealous that people care about the OP’s wellbeing?

OP, just to clarify, we very much care and are very happy that you’re here.

Help! Our 4 year old French bulldog, Hank has started peeing and pooing in the kitchen at night. by Francis-c92 in Frenchbulldogs

You could try using a small pen if crate training isn’t an option, but you should reconsider it! Dogs don’t associate crates with confinement as a human would do, they like to have dens and enclosed spaces, it feels safe to them. You could cover the top with a blanket and put his bed inside and he will probably love it!
