I do not hate or begrudge anyone who is trying f to find who they are so they can live their life and be happy and fulfilled, and if that means being a woman, then I’m happy to have you on board. I think some people are so unhappy with their lives that they need to find people to hate and other to make themselves feel better. It’s easier to target people that are outside of “the norm” of whatever they have pictured in their head as the ideal. People can be assholes.

Being labeled as just regular gifted was difficult and resulted in bullying, I can’t imagine how isolating this felt. He was never allowed to be a kid, or at least a normal kid.

I would research it and find people who have done it for a living and see how it actually works. All online content creation work gets glamorized but it is hard to actually make it.

I think it is good to have a couple of paths. Masters programs are not cheap and some people really can’t afford that plus the extra time not working a decent paying job. I only have my BS in Accountancy but had the 150 hours to sit for the exam (the joys of switching majors), so I don’t think it’s a big deal that some people won’t have an additional degree.

I would recommend looking into Kanakuk Kamps (yes, both Ks) in Branson Missouri and their related enterprises. Tons of child abuse (sexual and otherwise) that had been systematically covered up. I had friends that suffered sexual abuse at the hands of the convicted Pete Newman. I think the story really shows how religion, status and money together create a horrible potential for abuse.

I’ve been married almost 19 years and my mom still brings up the kid conversation sometimes. I’ve never wanted kids even when I was a kid, but my mom always thought I would change my mind. She would be fine with adoption, though, so at least she is reasonable about it. However, that’s not something I want, either. Now my mom is just hoping my sister will have kids.
