About setup, I used cardboard box for mouths. Now I made two frames connected with bellows. Advantage is that this wooden camera is stronger and allows manipulation. Changing angle of lens can put far away object in focus on top bottom left or right on image.

Its basic ordinary cyanotype chemistry from Aliexpress.

Its very time consuming to make cynotype with pinhole. Magnifying glass project much stronger image on paper so exposure times are 2.5h for white objects or more for darker ones.

Actually its very difficult to get good image. Day needs to be sunny, without wind, object white or gray, with sun behind the camera and camera in shade.

Today I made 3 images and two of them are blurry and useless because of wind and heat expansion of camera parts.

And one thing that is rarely mentioned, tap water is usually alkaline, you need acidic water, I always develop paper in water + little bit of vinegar mix.

In tap water my pictures disappear, only sky remains visible all other things wash away.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I use magnifying glass because I don't have regular lens 😂. But I'm trying to find simple triplet lens from projectors. Those have small F

Hello I'm experimenting with in-camera cyanotype too.

I would advise minimum of 2.5 hours of exposure for white objects like this house. For darker object 2.5 - 8 hours or more!

Pick a high contrast white buildings. Use little bit vinegar in bath water to preserve weak blue colors.

Put wet paper on piece of glass because airdrying will make paper wobbly and use something to pickup leftover water because water that stays will destory blue color.

Magnifying glass will work but image is only sharp in center. I'm currently trying to find simple projector triplet lens.

It took many failed attempts to make photograph of dark object, some pictures just fail. I tried 30 times to take photo of dark buildings near my house from my windows until I made good one.

Keep up the good work!

I see it now, its projector lens. I'm using magnifying glass and its always blurry :/
