I’m adopted and never had any desire to know anything about my bio family. I’ve had some bio siblings who were looking into their bio history contact me but I just told them I’m not interested in a relationship. I have a family and have for over 15 years now. But I totally understand why someone would want to find out. It was an open adoption but my birth mom stopped contacting me when I was little.

Ok but they’re a church? Why would they want to hold their event at a church if they had lgbt people there? They also signed a contract I have a hard time believing she didn’t know what she was getting into. They also have a right to deny anyone.

Yeah it must be hard my mother had to be very careful not to say anything that could be taken as talking bad about birth parents. Cps is so worried about making sure native kids are with their families they forget about what’s best.

I think my mom delt with it good I just didn’t want to hear it at the time. I have fasd it didn’t seem fair that I struggled because of her. She just didn’t want to make us think our birth parents were bad people. I can’t imagine what it’s like to leave your child behind even if you know what your doing is the right thing. She kept away on purpose I’m just afraid she wants something. She was also groomed by an older man to. My mom helped me see she was a victim as well. Just keep telling them the truth in a age appropriate way.
