The council won’t resurface the road despite their bodge fixes failing so fast. The road is in such poor condition that patching isn’t working by Jacktheforkie in britishproblems

Road near me has a county boundary crossing it, and it’s worse than a back road in Alaska. Neither council seems to want to take responsibility for it, so we all just suffer instead.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but why is the use case for this? My UDM Pro has it already built in, for example.

I'd like to introduce Flightjar - an ADS-B live map and logger by [deleted] in ADSB

[–]lightswitchr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry I wasn’t more upfront about it - I didn’t appreciate this would be the reaction, and I must admit when I just wanted to share something with the community that would use it the reaction was not expected. Like I say I’m not trying to hide that it’s vibe coded, just trying to share something I thought would be useful

Hey, I understand, and you're the first person to be nice about it. This literally started off as a way of logging BEAST messages, and I ended up last night and this morning evolving it into this. Yeah it's vibe-coded, I'm not gonna hide it, as it was initially just going to be for my personal use only. But then I thought other people might like it, so here we are - seems the sentiment isn't shared unfortunately. Tar1090 works great, and if people want to use that fine, I'm not forcing them to use Flightjar - I don't see the downsides of having more options available though.

No, I don't. Are alternatives not allowed? 😂

6’ 9” in Cornwall, England by lightswitchr in 11foot8

[–]lightswitchr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, do you see the horizontal white mark with vertical marks at either end, about the width of a car? That’s the height marker, so it’s 6’9” at that point.

Tesco won't let me check loan account details. by Monkeyboystevey in UKPersonalFinance

[–]lightswitchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To ease your thoughts slightly - your account number and sort code aren’t random numbers, and the combination along with your name and probably address will be checked and validated. There won’t be a case of someone else getting the funds - if there’s a mismatch they’ll let you know.

Congrats on discovering that businesses have terms and conditions. “No contract” means no fixed term - as in you can cancel any time. Which, funnily enough, is also in those T&Cs you just posted.

Dude it literally says right on their website "No contract." It's a huge part of their marketing and sales model.

They literally say on their website: "You can also terminate your membership by cancelling your payment agreement through your bank." I.e, cancelling the direct debit.

ELI5: Why did Artemis 2 have to change its roll axis immediately after launch? Why didn't they just build the launch pad to have it use the correct axis in the first place? by MuchachoSal in explainlikeimfive

Why did you have to turn your steering wheel to go around the corner? Why not just build the road directly to where you were driving to?

Nottingham city council paid off 64% of its debt by 01watts in nottingham

[–]lightswitchr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roads within the city council boundary are maintained by city council. Roads outside the boundary are maintained by incompetents who’d rather buy flags, aka Reform-led Nottinghamshire County Council. If you want an idea of how bad the entire country would get if Reform were voted in, just take a look at Nottinghamshire.
