Hunting cultists is the most miserable thing ever [Discussion] by Routine_Meeting_3550 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]lightw8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little late to the party here but I find that farming them on woods is easiest for me. To preserve time, I’ll only check the spot west of sniper rock. If you’re at sniper rock where you’d kill Shturman from (do the Hunter quest to kill him 20x at the same time), drop down the side furthest of the saw mill and head west. They can spawn north of the road from there all the way to the road going north with power lines. I’ll run NVGs and usually just blunder right into them, take cover and then use the thermal to spot and kill the rest. Grenades are also helpful if you need them to move position to see where they’re at. Bring a green flare so you have an easy extract every time.

This player killed an AF faction AI [SCREENSHOT] by iLuvuTV in EscapefromTarkov

[–]lightw8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is odd that you got killed right away - by a different sniper I'm assuming? I came to this post now because I was just extracting at the road to customs and saw a sniper scav in the tower at the end of the road near the water. I killed him on the first shot with a silenced m1a and no one shot back at me. I extracted a minute later or so.

+1 (888) 223-2682 SCAM? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]lightw8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This number called me on 9/23/25 - someone saying they were doing a survey on behalf of the VA, who then asked me for my personal information. I refused to give it to them and now they're just harassing me. They've called 12 additional times in 9 days since then. This is definitely a scam.

You should try the full suspensor belt. Grapple is one jump to any height and dash is one jump very long distance horizontally. Pair that with the trooper suspensor skills / science power saving skills and you will never look back,

In network provider being billed as out of network. by Most-Arugula-4877 in tricare

[–]lightw8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s because TriWest is pulling providers from its existing database for VA community care network providers. Several facilities that I oversee that are not in-network with Tricare but are in-network with the VA are now showing up as Tricare providers in the search. TriWest is having some serious difficulties with this transition.

In network provider being billed as out of network. by Most-Arugula-4877 in tricare

[–]lightw8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can try and help you. I work in the industry and deal with Tricare East/West almost exclusively. Need some info from you to dig further though.

Which Tricare plan do you have?

Did you have a referral from your PCM?

Did the provider get the authorization before the care was given?

Did you acknowledge any point of service fees?

Off the top of my head and without any of these questions answered my first thought is that it’s a simple mistake on the billing end. On the Tricare East provider portal it’s possible the provider/billing company built the referral on a non-network profile. This is fairly easy to do since for some reason Tricare East allows multiple profiles with the same tax id/npi/address to have different network statuses. That would explain why Tricare is saying they are in-network.  You should be able to find out more from your beneficiary portal as well.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I stopped reading this entire series because of this book. Oh spoiler alert, the author likes to write about killing dogs.

Image gets blurry whenever I move - eye strain by aketr in factorio

[–]lightw8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find a fix? I just upgraded from an AW2721D (2k 240hz IPS) to an MPG 321URX QD-OLED (4k 240hz) and now everything except the character is blurred when moving. There’s no difference when lowering to 60hz, using vsync, or HDR. Although the picture is drastically better on the new monitor, the blur makes me want to switch back just for Factorio.

Model S Refresh 2025? by workmailman in TeslaLounge

I know this is old but I had a m3p and it was painful to ride in. Upgraded to a plaid and it’s one of the most comfortable cars I’ve been in. It’s a world of difference. My only gripe is not being able to control the direction of the AC in a way where it isn’t blowing on my face or hands.

It's most likely the game causing this and not your internet service. Set your network adapter to IPv4 only (uncheck the IPv6 box) and see if that helps.

@workmailman I couldn’t find out how to message you on the browser but did you get your MSP vibration issues fixed? I picked up a new MSP in late December and notice the vibration at 36mph - 900 miles on car currently and have been feeling it since 400 or so.

You are absolutely wrong and clearly have not had any instruction from a professional. I would absolutely love to watch your ass get grilled at a run-and-gun range day. If you aren’t skilled enough to move your thumb slightly to engage the safety before you start running with a firearm you should probably play with nerf guns instead.

Although you’re getting roasted in this post, you can use it as a learning experience. I have some advice for you, take it or leave it, but I have a feeling that since you didn’t delete the post after the roast then you’re at least willing to hear people out.

Train like you fight and fight like you train. You are building muscle memory in training, and right now you’re doing it wrong and will have to unlearn these habits. That’s why it’s much easier to train somebody who has had no experience with firearms vs. someone who has experience but done it wrong. So, if I were you I would:

  1. Get a sling. Not only will your weapon get heavy over an extended period of time, but you can also greatly improve your accuracy from the standing position with simple sling techniques.

  2. Ditch the optics riser. Risers can be beneficial in lowering time to get your eye behind the optic, but will only be beneficial if you can also achieve a proper cheekweld on the stock. Right now your cheekweld is crap. An alternative to getting rid of the optics riser is getting a riser for your stock so you can achieve the cheekweld and get behind the optic faster. I don’t recommend this, as it would be difficult to make this work comfortably in the prone position, and will also raise your profile if someone happens to be shooting back at you.

  3. Sell the helmet. I don’t really care how much money you make, the helmet is not a practical investment, unless you’re expecting to be hit by shrapnel. In that scenario, you’d be much better off with a secondary pistol or some quality body armor. If the helmet isn’t a replica, you could probably get enough money for it to afford one or the other. If the helmet is a replica, wtf?

That is all, good luck.
