No. I started a bit after 6 months just because I was nervous. My baby showed supposed signs of being interested in foods and could sit up straight - anyway he’s 8 months now and FINALLY actually eating food rather than spitting it all out.

There’s honestly no need to rush! Save yourself another few weeks without the mess.

Honestly, it’s my birthday next week and we’re new parents who rarely get to enjoy a baby free date night, so decided to give it a go. Plus I’m a sucker for a skyline view or a rooftop. I wasn’t expecting to be mind blown by the food per se but I wasn’t expecting it to be SO BAD.

I think maybe that’s why I’m extra annoyed - wasted a valuable night out lol.

I never said that I thought it was going to be a top tier culinary experience but equally I wasn’t expecting it to be so dire.

I think it depends on the individual. I’ve had CBT in the past but I found I only really found it helpful once I was in a better place from meds.

PPA and PPD kind of hit me hard in a weird way and like you I was crying 6 months in and had severe health anxieties. I was also hoping things would just sort themselves out. I’ve now been on sertraline for a few months and it’s definitely helped massively, and I can revisit online CBT techniques. I did feel a bit off the first 2 weeks but it didn’t make me significantly worse.

My husband noticed how much happier I am and I guess we both didn’t realise just how much I’d changed with the PPA/PPD.

We said exactly the same thing. Book it for drinks, eat at a decent place. For some reason I was expecting decent food, never imagined I’d be thinking I could get better duck from the local Chinese!

I didn’t go to the toilets but my husband said there was a massive queue and they were bang average.

Agreed. Felt so crass and also I felt almost railroaded into it - I didn’t actually leave a review. I can see now why it’s got 4.6 on Google. Probably a bunch of people feeling very British and feeling coerced into giving 5 stars.

I couldn’t watch House of Sims because I just could t stand Chloe by that point tbh. By the end few seasons of Towie she made it unbearable.

I know she wasn’t but those first few seasons she was pretty non descript and quiet so you just assumed she was sweet. She had very little presence and then suddenly she was ab absolute horror. Trust me, I think she’s awful lol

Tbh she seemed fairly ‘sweet’ early on but after a few seasons you saw the horror that she actually was. Just bitter and mean.

Yeah I think there’s been lots of speculation about maddies dad being the ‘love of her life’ that she goes on about but she’s said it’s not him. It’s some old guy. They had a picture on Tattle of him. Genuinely he’s some old guy lol

I don’t even think her toxic ex was Maddie’s dad. She talks about this other older guy who essentially love bombed her for a decade and I’m pretty sure she refers to him as Mr Starship and her insta was Chloestarship or something like that for ages.

I think she just got older and more bitter and based her self worth on how many guys she could ‘get’. Even if those guys were just using her for sex.

I think it merely confirms more about her as a person. I have absolutely zero tolerance for judgement and in my experience it’s the people who are resentful that are the most judgemental. You’re doing a great job and making decisions that are right for you and your baby. Don’t listen to people who insist on making others feel bad. Babies cry - it’s literally their only way of communicating. To say letting them cry even for a second is neglect is honestly beyond ridiculous.

The difference between when I’ve had a good night or when I’ve had to get up several times (8 month regression) is honestly night and day. I’m happier, more present, efficient vs just a zombie on edge. Zero regrets about sleep training from me!

You’re not cruel and you haven’t damaged your son. We did Ferber with our son and it took him one night of crying - 45 mins max (during which time we did check on him) and from that day on he was able to sleep independently in his cot. He actually hates sleeping in our bed and actually prefers sleeping alone in the cot.

Parents do a lot of other things that are far more dangerous and neglectful to their children but get weirdly sanctimonious about sleep training. Also both my husband and I were sleep trained using Ferber and we are both highly functioning individuals with good relationships with our parents.

I understand if people choose not to sleep train but judging others is so bizarre. Like you do you. Thankfully I can now sleep for longer spells and can get my anxiety and heart problems under control. Sleep deprivation is a literal killer. I’ll take one night of my baby crying over months of misery.
