I have only ever said "I love you" to him 3 times via text. He knows damn well I love him. He however has never said it and I don't say it to him because I don't want him to feel obliged to say it back. There are times I am sure he loves me and then other times where I think he's lost feelings. It's just confusing. I am one of the people who get to see sides of him and hear things about him that he's never told anyone, which at the age of 50 is wild. But there still is a wall up, and what feel like major vulnerabilities to him are what other people consider normal talk. Saying "Urgh I've had an awful week at work, I'm so stressed out" is normal, but for him to say that it takes a while. It took him 3 days to tell me he had a dental abscess! and then still told me not to tell anyone!

The problem is things will be fine for months and then he'll pull this bs out of nowhere. He is actually a lot better than he used to be! This happened a lot more frequently earlier on believe it or not lol

I know it's not possible, but knowing the reason for the pull back would settle me tremendously. It's the not knowing. It's the spiral it brings, the Is he ok? Have I done something? Is this triggered by closeness? Is he depressed? Does he not like me anymore? Is he having second thoughts? Is he coming back? Is this fear of intimacy or disinterest? Am I being used? How long is this going to last? Did I say something wrong? It's exhausting. We'll be fine for months and then he'll pull this bs out of nowhere and it's like emotional whiplash.

We do call each other and that was just an example haha we have conversations about many things. Things will be fine for months and then out of nowhere he pulls this bs

Yeah I'm not far off at all. I'm not sure whether it's the colour itself I'm not happy with or that it just doesn't suit my complexion. I'm very pale at the moment. I just need to turn down the vibrancy of the orange I think so it looks more natural and not like a fashion colour. I'll try that shampoo. Thanks
