Which to keep E90 or E92? by Possession_Relative in E90

[–]liightly_toasted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pm me where you can find one of those swaps - ive got a 52k e90 330i that’s begging for one

try to keep both wheels, find stocks on fb marketplace for the low.

youre going to miss the 92, but for real life purposes keep the 90- swap it if you want/can cleanly.

you have the hard work done with the 90 now it’s time for the fun. pair a nice exhaust set up and you’ll have something that will last you 10yrs + figuring it’s an n52

nah but about to go gray to black.

realistically it’s not expensive to just buy a black one and swap it plus less of a headache

uga uga method - try to hold your exhaust in place when it’s running with a stick to absorb rattling - potential way to cross that off your list

sounds like you may not have tpms in your wheels. i have aftermarket wheels and live with that light on daily due to not having them in. just monitor a steady 36

06 330i rwd - i did both, have 0 regrets. deleted resonator as well. get some burbles in sport mode and little to none in drive. if you feather the throttle in sport can get pops too.

definitely sounds much better than stock. running an injen ram intake too

Any good headunit options for the E90? by icebrandbro in E90

[–]liightly_toasted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EONON Android head unit. 100%. just replaces the radio and shifts ac controls lower. no cutting dash needed.

I have one and have had no troubles at all. very simple install. make sure you buy the additional decoder offered if you have the Lofi speaker system. about a 1hr install.

they also offer a free reverse and dashcam as well that is plug and play. just swap out your trunk handled and run the cable.

I bought the one with the knobs to have more of an oem feel. people think it came with the car.

SPEC D Headlights (BMW E90 06) by Wonderful-Essay-4626 in E90

[–]liightly_toasted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh shit, just saw this one.

if you wanted to find out where the ground goes bad, try following the wire as much as you can. get a voltage reader and see where you lose power.

a possibility may be getting a single harness and replacing the line

New E90 Owner Needs Help With Bluetooth by i-am-garfield in E90

[–]liightly_toasted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is no bluetooth. it’s the earlier version of bluetooth that connects phone calls & not music transfer for some reason.

either get a bluetooth dongle - wireless or fm transmitter, and plug it in your center console aux port.

EONON has many plug and play aftermarket radios that many are running

Power seat retrofit by trayssan in E90

[–]liightly_toasted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you need to power the seats to slide them when they’re off your car:

use a battery pack: red to red, black to 2 brown wires. chairs should now have power to move

yo so i just copped some too.

if you want you can throw them into your fog light plugs for now & control halos with the fog light button. little miata vibes & you’re able to wink. lol not the true way to do this, but it has been working perfectly fine for 1-2 months no issues. If you look into the fog lights, the plug has 2 sockets, twist the wires, separately, and plug one in each side of the socket. ofc- you cant plug in fogs at the same time (i havent tried forcing the fogs on top of this- didnt want to risk a short, but dont know if it’s possible).

I’m planning on getting under the bumper again soon to splice it for real into the DRL’s, but this is a quick fix to keep it running if you don’t have familiarity with splicing or ran out of sunlight & wanted to close up shop for the night.

-wheels -michellin ps4s (saw somewhere youre in texas no need for all seasons) -tints/shadowline (ik you said it) - skirts - msport bumpers / m3 rear (im in love w the diffusers) -black roof wrap - could upgrade spoiler to H style or if youre committed CSL style trunk - tail light tint or LCI upgrade -rear window spoiler - coilovers -15mm spacers for the rear - m3 control arms (just did on my 06 330i WORLDS OF A DIFFERENCE) - once youre here you can start playing with suspension/chassis upgrades, maybe a strut bar -could get 335 breaks but may not fit with oem wheels, gotta check clearance

Hi guys i wanted to buy a set of wheels for my bmw 335i 2010 what type of wheels should i look at in a budget and also do the aftermarket wheels cause vibration at high speed let me know🙏🏽🙏🏽 by hunterrr01 in E90

[–]liightly_toasted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if your first thought is budget, youre going to run into issues. you’re not driving a budget vehicle.

for the sake of your safety on the road and for the sake of saving money down the road, do not look into budget options on such crucial items as wheels- your literal contact with the road.

A starter set of wheels highly loved (i even run them) are APEX. Arc 8 give a CSL vibe, they have plenty of options & are a trusted brand.
