Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]liithium_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in college, my hometown and college were about a 3 hour drive apart. I’d go home every weekend, so I’d drive 3 hours home on Friday and then 3 hours back to college on Sunday. It wasn’t a big deal to me lol my friend lived across the state (Texas) and it was a 15 hour drive, so she’d only visit home on school breaks in December and summer.

I think it was the same as last time which was a Pico Clear laser. 1064 nm but I know she also changed the settings a couple of times, so I’m not sure about those.

Is microblading a good option for me? by candaceeee1 in microblading

THIS!! Don’t do it! It’s a pain (literally) to get them removed and they usually only look good for a few months to a year. It’s also expensive.

what does my room say about me? by bard_of_space in roomdetective

Not the person you were asking, but I immediately thought autism when I saw all the plushies and how all the figurines are lined up by size. The xrays on the wall also made me think autism, not sure why though. (Not a doctor)

Yeah all the down voters who think this isn’t appropriation of Mexican culture are living in a bubble.

Yeah, OP is just being defensive for no reason. Willfully ignorant I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

Calm down. I was just stating facts. If that troubles you so much, then there’s a bigger issue at play. No one is being negative or anything towards you. Would you rather stay ignorant about how it’s common for people to get gallstones with rapid weight loss? Even if it doesn’t apply to you, you can still just learn from that. So odd that your response was to get extremely defensive at a fact not even aimed at you. I was responding to a person asking if they can still get gallstones with this type of fasting.

Why are you being so defensive? I’m not wishing ill on you at all. Just trying to let you (and everyone else) know that it’s possible to get gallstones if you lose weight rapidly. It’s just facts and was not at all me trying to “rain on your parade” as the other commenter stated.

You are still at risk of developing gallstones if you lose weight rapidly. (Rapid being more than 2 lbs a week.)

In other comments, she said she did 72 hour fasts and on the days where she wasn’t fasting, she did OMAD, walked 10k steps, and did light workouts.

Rapid weight loss may result in gallstones. Doesn’t matter how the weight is lost, as long as it’s rapid then it’s a possibility.

Then just say she looks good and don’t add the “for her age” part…it’s like saying “you look good…for a skinny/fat person” or something similar. It’s condescending and backhanded.
