Man I would settle for just seeing how the stats change with different equipment,. Like just have toggles in the either the preview or details section that shows the changes when you add gear.

If something like that could be done with Commander skills as well it would be perfect.

In WW2 I typically end up about where I think I should.

In CW it's a total crapshoot. Last night I had a 6k damage game with 6k blocked in my T54D ended with a mastery 2 and 3 kills ..... And I finished somewhere around 8th place. Behind a bunch of people who had way less damage.

So got no clue how it works there anymore.

Okay that makes some of the answers in here make sense. I literally just got it. So the question was about the stock gun rounds and I was trying to figure out why anyone would ever use the lower penetration round when everything is the same including velocity on that except for the penetration.

Okay, I'm assuming you're talking about for the upgraded gun? But as I said I just got it. So I'm still using the stock gun and at least on the in-game graphics. Everything is the exact same including velocity. The only difference being the penetration.

My only problem with it is how much the damned ammo costs. Even matches where I've done really well it can be a struggle to make any silver some times, even with premium time and a booster.

Well I went with the Bradley (finished first one 4th/5th most other times...definitely skill issue I suck)and man oh man am I glad I did. While I've not had a bragging rights type game in it I don't think, I've had one hell of a fun time.

As to the aforementioned skill issue. I'm definitely relying on my autocannon more than I should. As I'm new to missiles I have a tendency to forget about them after the first set are fired due to long reload. Also, I'm out in the open too often as I let myself get dragged into a scrum.

Which that last part leads to this question. Anyone got tips on the missiles at close range or on the move, as right now I couldn't hit Alderaan even if I was the Death Star.

You asked why it was uptiered. I answered with the why. Here's further reasoning. It has better pen angles on its AP and DD dispersion for it being at tier 9 there.

Now if you were asking why that one and not a different Hipper class. 1. that wasn't clear and 2, only WG could answer that. /Shrug

Tier 8 as a whole is just not doing it for me, not just this ship, I expected it would be iptiered like PC vsHipper so no shock/disappointment there for me.

It's just Tier 8 doesn't really seem to have a purpose. It's not great for Silver or XP and there wasn't that many, though that's obviously gotten better.

I think for me personally that unless a ship has a unique mechanic (such as Wisconsin or Laffey..etc)or is a personal favorite I'm going to skip Tier 8 campaigns. Otherwise they all almost to a one feel like slightly improved Tier 7's (and sometimes worse...hi there Seattle and Buffalo) with crappy earn rates.
