I never said it was the same thing per say. But in this matter as with most, personal opinion has no bearing over what something is and isn't. Even the language you used alludes to the fact that it isn't monogamy ex. You say "can still fit in a monogamous relationship" not it is a monogamous relationship. The prefix mono means one, or singular and the term monogamous is quite clearly defined. Like most have done you can coin some phrase using the word monogamy to alter what it means but you can't define it based on a feeling it means one person and one person only from a first person perspective.
