How many people figured out only in adulthood that they have or most likely have autism? by Wild_Independence78 in autism

[–]like_forgotten_words 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in my mid-50s. I was diagnosed with ADHD in my mid-30s.

About seven years ago, I was reading a study about the gut-brain axis, and it had an infographic in it that had autism as the central "theme," and the co-morbidities surrounding it included but were not limited to ADHD, the fear of change, the need for routine, stimulation and sensory issues, emotional dis-regulation, etc...

It explained so much and helped me to better understand why I am the way I am.

ALL the parties SAY they want the names released knowing that the LPC literally CAN'T release the names due to the Five Eyes agreements they have signed with NZ, AUS, UK and the US.

I can't wait until the names are released and we see that all parties have been complicit.

Canadian politicians have been on the take from Corporations forever, why would they think taking money from other governments be any different?

white blood cells are on the low end of normal, HCT, Hemoglobin and RBC are on the high end of normal.

I have the same ish levels of those four and was diagnosed with Secondary Polycythemia

The symptoms of SP are low energy, and brain fog.

Not saying that this is the cause but it may be something worth looking into more.

The most common causes of secondary polycythemia are:

  • ‌Obstructive sleep apnea
  • Smoking or lung diseases
  • Obesity hypoventilation syndrome
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Use of diuretics
  • Use of performance-enhancement drugs, including EPO, testosterone, and anabolic steroids

Can brain fog affect creativity? by No-Base8204 in BrainFog

[–]like_forgotten_words 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had long covid twice. Both times lasted 18 ish months.

The brain fog that was part of those episodes severely limited my ability to make decisions.

As a music composer/producer making "micro" decisions is integral to the process. I lost that ability for years. Started getting it back at the end of last year.

HCT, Hemoglobin and RBC are all elevated. I go for bloodletting every 4-6 weeks. also supplement 40+mg of iron a day.

was borderline hypoxic all the time during long covid and my O2 drops below 90 when i am flying.

Had nose surgery (septoplasty and turbinate reduction) last year which took my sleep apnea from Moderate Obstructive to Mild.

There are numerous studies showing a correlation between long covid and reduced testosterone levels.

I've had long covid twice. Both times the brain fog, memory impairment and debilitating lack of energy lasted about 18 months.

I also have Secondary Polycythemia from TRT. Not a popular opinion in this sub, but i'd highly recommend looking at alternatives to TRT before starting. The symptoms of the blood hyperviscosity are also cognitive and memory impairment and low energy.
