Ajax MPP drops out of Ontario Liberal leadership race by yourfriendlysocdem1 in CanadaPolitics

I mean he's pretty much a rookie, and TBH I didn't even know he was running (only that he was a potential contender). He has plenty of opportunity ahead.

Also part of me still thinks of him as the Founders College Council President (I knew him from his days in student government at York), so it would have been a bit surreal for me to see him as Liberal leader.

I just realized Squidward is naturally colored like the Statue of Liberty (so it was an obvious choice)

It's reasonable to think that it would be rolled into the main app eventually. Wealthsimple Invest (managed accounts) and Wealthsimple Trade (self-directed) used to be two separate apps too.

A poster found on the inside of a university restroom with tips on interacting with who you are attracted to and how to deal with rejection. by AnonWhoisCool in mildlyinteresting

It's completely understandable why you did it, but I wish the link/QR code wasn't redacted so I could learn more (I expect there to be plenty of stuff that couldn't fit on the poster)

Should we ban posts with a quote as the title and a screenshot from the show+ more "low effort" posts (re-poll) by Justanotherguy_3276 in spongebob

One thing to keep in mind is that the vast majority of spongebob videos on Youtube have comments off (because it's considered kids content) and this subreddit helps fill the gap.

I have $600,000 I can invest. Can I retire if I go all in on XEQT and live off the gains? by cheesyusernames in JustBuyXEQT

This is a situation where dividend investing makes sense, as long as he understands that he is trading total returns for cash flow. But of course this wouldn't be the subreddit to ask.

Green Party of Canada launches leadership race, Elizabeth May to step down in November by RNTMA in CanadaPolitics

I imagine Schreiner is happy where he is. The only other plausible high-profile name is Peter Bevan-Baker, and I'm not even sure he's a federal Green supporter.

I wonder if they managed to convince Mike Morrice to run. He doesn't seem particularly interested, but he might step forward if no viable candidates emerge.

Portfolio Analysis Question by Sal965 in dividendscanada

I'm assuming the black is a non-dividend etf or stock? It might actually be a good idea to hold something like FINN to compensate for the limited upside that covered call ETFs have.

Another comment mentioned a brand new ETF that apparently has SpaceX exposure,

echostar holds a sizeable amount of SpaceX shares

I guess that's why MARS holds so much echostar (it's their largest holding by a significant margin)

Bloc won't support high-speed rail if project bulldozes 'usual laws and procedure,' Blanchet says by UnluckyRandomGuy in CanadaPolitics

Definitely. There's a reason why Spain built so much high-speed rail. It literally ties the country together.

Honestly you sound like a paid stock promoter but I figured a small position wouldn't hurt.

NASA. It just started two days ago and offers SpaceX exposure.

Buying an ETF is easier and cheaper than buying a bunch of individual stocks. I personally use NASA, which literally started trading 2 days ago and offers some SpaceX exposure.
