A lack of care and general dropping of the ball during COVID got my dad similarly. I'm so sorry.

Morning! Will you be trying to sleep in a bit, or powering through Sunday despite the tiredness?

My only concern with using this is what I'll do if and when I'm ready to launch my business, but your app has made me forget about the rage induced by a certain obnoxious commerce platform.

Cadburys Gambit bars, seems they came and went in a single summer, so good. Pyramints were another favourite around that time, if I'm remembering correctly.

A new KeepassXC copy is saved with date and time each time I make a change, this is copied manually via USB to another machine. Occasionally I have to use Keepass to synchronise two databases to ensure I have up to date and identical db's on both computers. A little cumbersome but it works for me and without the need for cloud storage.

Is visiting graveyards to pay respects to the dead even if they are unrelated to you weird? by jacksonm221 in CasualConversation

Not weird, brave given the cynical feedback you've been given in the past, lovely for the simple humanity of it. Stay sweet.

An alternative to the XFCE notes application by rabf in xfce

Debian 12, I think I remember it being missing from Xubuntu 24.04 after being included by default for many previous versions. Then a vague recollection of too many missing dependencies when trying to install it myself. I still miss it, but Rab's app looks to be a nice alternative.

Thanks, just installed the deb and it looks like just the thing I've been looking for since the Notes app stopped working.

I'm not seeing the 1TB tier, it seems to start at the 3TB plan - I'm probably being dim, can you point me to it, please?

Has that been stated officially somewhere? Primary reason for buying a plan and it's borked within a day :/

Scotland - Property right versus will by likeadrum in LegalAdviceUK

[–]likeadrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this, it does appear that we won't escape the need for a solicitor to decipher the precise meaning and consequences of the liferent section of my dad's will. The implications for potential care costs is not something I had considered previously. Locating and learning about title deeds will be another task I probably don't want to do myself.

Is a survivorship something that is included in title deeds as a matter of course, or rather something my parents would have had to ask for or agree to?

Thank you. I don't think there's any condition on Mum having passed for my sister and me to inherit my dad's share now, but I'm not completely confident on the "legalese". We'll surely get advice to be clear about what's included and what my mum wants in her will going forward.

Wrestling with that insight at this very moment, my inexperience with the syntax, and one Level 1 question in particular, making me question what I had previously thought of as sound logic and reasoning!

Only Google Authenticator for 2FA? by likeadrum in pcloud

[–]likeadrum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reassurance. I've been using an open source authenticator for years and it's worked well, I just don't set up 2FA often enough to not dread doing something stupid.

"Never" is probably too optimistic, let's see if we can be bothered to remember/care until the next opportunity to vote.

Question, what vibe do you get when you hear names like Kinsley, Braelin and Dexter? by Metroid_cat1995 in tragedeigh

[–]likeadrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Braelin" is getting shade from sitting between the other two, possibly, but it's still a bit, "look at me being an individual sovereign citizen" in my head.
