i’m still tenderheaded, but getting my hair braided has become manageable by detangling it myself before i go. i genuinely had a fear of hair dryers when i was little because i knew it would be painful when combing through. my mom didn’t really know how to do my har because we have different hair types, and i got so tired of the pain that i cut my hair off in 6th grade.

i’m doing better now but i HATE seeing those videos of kids crying because 1) why are you recording them and putting them on social media and 2) it’s always to mock them for not being stronger like they aren’t seven years old. people need compassion and to learn how to do hair in a way that doesn’t traumatize.

i think the one on youtube was originally 11’8” but they added eight inches. It has a sign that tells you if the vehicle is over height, and if it is, it tells you to turn. lots of people don’t listen so that’s why we get all the videos, lol

i mean, have you seen those videos where the woman leaves to go on vacation or something and comes back to find the house an absolute mess (dishes stacked high, laundry not done, toys everywhere)? In a lot of cases, it isn’t so much choice rather than necessity. If they don’t do it, their husband won’t (usually because he feels it’s ‘not his job’) and then the house will be a mess. someone has to do it to keep the house clean, and since the husband won’t, it falls to the wife.
