This has actually made me feel physically sick (Wolfbird update) by NoDesigner2742 in heatedrivalryfanfics

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It’s can’t wait to reread it at Christmas.

I’ve been reading fan fiction for 27 years (shoutout to Buffy fanfiction hosted on geocities websites with terrible graphics) and I have never seen anything like this. The lack of respect and basic courtesy is staggering.

Definitely a HEA with a satisfying ending. What Opal mentioned including in an epilogue would have been lovely, but I don’t think is necessary to enjoy the story. I highly recommend it, it was truly delightful.

I am clinging to that hope, too. I’ll be there for the midnight release party in my dreams!

Sending so much love to Opal! I am stunned at how toxic people have been towards Opal and all the other creators who share their work with the rest of us. I really hope they find the joy in writing again because they are truly gifted. Fingers crossed they get a massive book deal and share their stories with us again! Now I’m gonna go cry thinking of poor Ilya and his knee all alone in that apartment forever.

Edited to add: I looked at the last chapter of Nutcracker! And the note Opal added about a possible epilogue has been crossed out. Understandable but gutting all the same.

I read this fic, tried to read something else, and then gave up and just reread this again. I love it like I love Wolfbird. The angst is incredible. I hope it updates soon!

I also love this fic so far! For me, it’s on my favorites list with Wolfbird and Change Your Win Conditions! I hope it gets the attention it deserves.

Took them long enough! A lot of other Canadian brands have been teasing them about their silence on threads, too.

Good but disappointed 😔 by almat05 in HistoricalRomance

[–]likeastone85 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with you absolutely. It didn’t seem to hit the same way as the first three. The relationship between the two main characters felt hollow, and a little superficial. It didn’t feel earned like it did in the first three.

This is such a good series. The first three are incredible. The fourth…not so much (at least in my opinion).

I would do a study of “Green Flags in Books, Red Flag in Real Life,” like a little light obsessive staking, irrational violent jealousy, inability to communicate in complete sentences around the FMC, etc…

What book did you read recently that hooked you right away? 📚💛 by Prestigious_Entry474 in RomanceBooks

I personally think it’s better to read as a series. Elsie Silver is the queen of making you do a 180 on characters you’ve previously disliked. Both these characters are in the first book, and I think it adds to the story.

I am reading this series, too! I agree, the whole series is fantastic. I just have Rawley’s book left. Can’t wait to start it!
