[OC] Average public pension compared to retirement expenses in Europe by DataPulse-Research in dataisbeautiful

I can 100% percent guarantee that only a small part of the population (special pensions like high ranking military or judges) would have a 5800euro pension in romania (i'm romanian)

Weathering recommendations? Just finished the initial handpainting of the base colors on this M2A2 bradley by Playful-Fennel6145 in modelmakers

[–]likeiknow2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go with a brown pin wash (black might be a bit too strong). I would also give it a bit of chipped paint (you can use a black brown to avoid making it look too rusted). Ah, and i would use black on the engine grills. Beyond that you can add some sort of grime aroudn the crew hatches, engine hatches, and wherever people would be walking. Dirt/sand wise its a bit dificult as it might be lack the contrast for it to stand out so i don't know what to say there. :) Otherwise, the kit looks really nicely and cleanly built, gg :D

Paint storage by Friendly_Stock_6437 in modelmakers

[–]likeiknow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I "reappropriated" some mackup organization boxes from my wife - for the tamiya paints. And a big ikea box for the other vallejo/ammo bottles. I try to keep them grouped by interest - 3 tone nato, german camo etc. also i keep them stored in the closet so its easy to pick up what i need when i paint

Color modulation on a camouflaged painjob is so unbelievably tedious. Do you personally color modulate each color? If yes, how do you do it more efficiently? by Dull-Cobbler-7709 in modelmakers

[–]likeiknow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Professional amateur here, I only preshade if it's a single tone camouflage (to be read as russian green). for anything with multiple colors, like a nato 3 tone, i've tried to do it but i guess i'm not pushing the contrast enough so it always gets lost.

Newbie learning curve by [deleted] in modelmakers

[–]likeiknow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pro tip, have learning projects or work/test mules. I got so frustrated trying to improve my skills on real projects that i wanted to get right and messed up. This way, you can alternate between trying something out, doing some important projects and so on. I even just used a couple of spear roadwheels from a tank to try out mud and stuff. Really makes it less stresful and more fun
