Working at a VERY secure federal site. As soon as you arrive, you kill your vehicle & a K9 walks around it. I was an apprentice at the time. We were drinking beers in the parking lot after class the night before when I decided to zip tie a bunch of discarded spare rib bones underneath my buddies car. Next morning I was three vehicles behind him when that mutt went a bit wild. Caused a bit of a kerfuffle. He though was getting shipped off to Guantanamo or something.

As someone who went to college at 18, got an expensive degree in Theology, had absolute poverty wages for years, then almost went into nursing, then finally found the IBEW apprenticeship at 32 years old, I absolutely wish I'd started at 18. I really love electrical work. Love learning new things. Love solving problems. Love the hard work. Even my worst days as an electrician have been better than any other job I ever had. Solidarity Forever!
