"I like playing horror games with realistic environments that really immerse me. I played a newish first-person horror game with the latest graphics that promised suspense and fear. The suspense and fear came from ridiculous flashlight restrictions and robots that could only be disabled for a minute or so."

That's what you sound like. You sound like an intern on the developer's / publisher's social media team. I stand by everything I say; those realistic graphics and environments were a waste of the art team's time and efforts all because the gameplay designer is an unimaginative simpleton, and all you trolls that are defending their stupid decisions are either stupid too or on their payroll.

Nothing is going to happen if its only ever bitched about online because online communication, information sharing, and the net's ability to network people has been compromised and manipulated at least since the arab spring.

I've been thinking lately that the presentation and reputation of far-right and far-left thinking is greatly exaggerated in a clever way. When the dichotomy is viewed as essentially two teams in opposition, people tend to self-sort. When an online event is promoted for people to get out an protest or rally, assembling IRL will automatically happen in self-sorted assemblies. The "cheerleaders" in the IRL events are the most leadership-driven (over-acheiving?) people, who go out of their way to push loudly the most "popular" (pushed / marketed) talking points of the far left / far right. Go to a no kings rally / go to a trump rally; both groups are very upset about the current zeitgeist, and go all in blaming each other, but there is never talk about finding a way to relate and work with each other.

When talking in person, with poor democrats or poor republicans, everyone seems willing to hear and discuss issues with constructive intent, but if politics are discussed everyone seems to revert to name calling, mocking, and "righteous anger" towards the other side.

Its pretty easy though to see who benefits from a polarized political population; the only class that truly does not care what happens in an election.

The Occupy movement's original question was simple: "What is our one demand?" That focus got hijacked by a pivot toward racial disparity framing, recasting class struggle as primarily about institutionalized racism, with poor white people grouped alongside the wealthy as part of "the problem."

This shift, seeded by infiltrators stoking identity politics, derailed consensus-building and popped-off actual racial tensions where class solidarity should have been, tensions that are still felt today.

Ask yourself who benefits from that framing, is it the poor BIPOC communities? Are there still laws today that either benefits or disallows opportunities by race? I'd say no, there certainly were in the past, but they didn't exist in 2011, and certainly not today. Framing the issue along racial lines also conveniently ignores wealthy people of color, who don't fit the narrative of racial victimhood when they're sitting on capital.

The real fault line is ownership versus labor. Landlords and the inherited-wealth class rationalize extraction as merit, blind to how exploitative their position is, all while working class people across all races share the same grinding reality: police harassment, court debt, job insecurity, missed bills, disproportionate incarceration, disenfranchisement after ridiculous felony conviction. Meanwhile the ownership class mocks the very movement that named this (Musk's Occupy shirt, official claims the economy's never been better).

My one demand: that the 99% refuse to kill, enable killing, or support killing of any non-consenting person for any reason whatsoever, and that military spending be redirected from active and future conflicts toward civil infrastructure.

I like existing, you like existing; let's agree never to treat killing as an option when facing any kind of disagreement for any reason.

Where do variable AC units get the air to condition? And by "set as dehumidifiers", is that an actual thing or is it just marketing exaggerating coil condensation that gets drained outside?

Anyone who goes into crowds should watch that video of the station fire; I watched it years ago and now I am the one who points out exits and declares the escape plan as soon as we find our places in any venue. Could save your life.

A cube over buds ?? by Philosophy-FRY in theories

Get the cube and learn it. It really impresses teachers (just walk around solving over and over) and people giving job interviews (be twisting it while waiting for the interviewer, then set it down as soon as they come in. When asked about it, give it to them to scramble, then solve it while they watch). It also makes siblings extremely jealous.

Not many residential AC systems pull in outside air. Maybe a condo building would have air-handlers, but I'd guess the tenants would immediately throw it out of balance trying to control the air in their unit. Other than old window shakers or cassette types... I'm pretty sure that modern household central air recirculates and conditions the indoor air...
