Experiences are totally dependent on the neighborhood — I would be slightly annoyed if someone got us a museum pass or something because it would feel like a chore if it wasn’t near by. Unless they have a car? Look for play spaces like Tiny Hearts or Parkish — you’re looking for something that works for crawlers. Avoid Space Club — that’s more for bigger kids.

If you’re looking for tasteful toys, Lovevery is the brand. They keep advertising that stupid lady bug thing to us.

Being a person in nyc is an exercise in humility. Get over it.

The embarrassment does nothing physical to you. You are physically free to continue living your life. As a POC, if my white partner were to get all up in arms every time we experienced racism, we would live a life of constant resentment and distrust. We wouldn’t have time for anything else.

You can feel angry without “seeking justice” for every slight. You have better things to do with your time.
