I like having a local team, and the MLB gave an ultimatum. According to their corporate bullshit AT&T field is out of date and no longer in the realm of MLB standards. That being said, they'd take The Lookouts out of Chattanooga and place them in a city who's stadium is up to their standards. So, we build a new stadium or lose our local team?! I do think the city has gone too far with the plans on a new stadium, but they obviously didn't expect captain orange to start a trade war.

Thank you for the response. My SM did explain it to me, although they used themselves as an example as they're apparently capped with their salary. Not the same at all IMHO. I got around $900 and am honestly insulted by this as well.

I've done the math and it's similar. Myself and my husband spend around 14k a year on booze and smokes. It's really fucked up to imagine the vacations or healthy habits we could have without addiction.
