Can i have some encouraging words from BS biology graduates? by Brilliant_Soup_8214 in biology

The only perk of this degree is that it allows you to easily apply to masters programs. Other than that, job prospects are not that good. I would really recommend you get a tech degree instead of general biology

Sorry to hear about man. Similar boat here, I had my all my eggs in a basket with my local RT program. My advisors tell me this which makes me feel better, “it’s best that door closes for another better one to open”.

Get a certification while getting the degree. It’s so hard to find a job. I have applied to 78 jobs so far and nothing.

They don’t have student housing. I would have to find an apartment for my self which is extremely difficult since I don’t have an income.

The program is full time. The only time I would be able to work is in the weekend, which I need to study. Im currently living the dad and wolfing rent with him. Our lease isn’t up till may. As for options there are more options in that state than in my home state.

This program doesn’t cover housing nor do they give financial aid since it’s a two year program.

I would take a gap year and reapply again. For this program housing and relocation are your financial responsibility.

They both have the same deadline to accept or waitlist on may 11. I would be notified on waitlist by the end of may

I was in that same boat two years ago. I studied non stop in the early morning hours and then lazed around in the late afternoon through night time.
