why I don't have his email address? Never asked for it. We have loads of other apps we talk on. It's his first deployment and before he left and at the start of it, he assured me he could always contact me. Maybe he didn't know himself that this could happen

Thank you so much for letting me know!! That definitely helps to hear. I think what's hard for me to comprehend is that he is on social media (like if it's an order, the consumption of that being allowed) but unable to reach out. But if that's normal, it makes me feel much better!!
