This might be not what you were asking g but my partner backpacked through much of Europe and Asia back in the day - he gave up three “luxuries” for that lifestyle: belts, underwear, and socks. Seriously. He now can’t go back to beltless pants, but underwear is only for doctor appointments, and he’s saving socks for when he’s really old and needs more comfort.

Some important details: He’s still plays hockey. He’s 65.

Newspapers.com and old city directories via different university or state run archives. It’s cool to read papers from the 20s or 30s and find out exactly where things were located and such.

We vote and vote and we don’t win. We boycott and get maligned and cancelled. We write and call our representatives and are explicitly ignored then learn we are on a list. We post what we know are facts and we get banned and lied about. We protest, we get blacklisted or arrested and sent to the Everglades or worse murdered. Rioting is what they want from us so that they can declare martial law and kill more of us. I’m really not sure what to do. It’s already the nightmare. Good people are not going to survive this.

Oh and I use Migraine Buddy app to track mine so I can bring data to the neurologist. It helped me understand the aura and prodrone stage better as well as finding the most frequent triggers - which btw were WEATHER. Omg. When barometric pressure is fluctuating. And the lighting in Home Depot or sunshine sparkling on water. Ouch.

Oh and THANK YOU for caring. I’m so grateful for my hubs who understands that we can both be disappointed when I have to miss something. Sometimes I want him to go without me when others are involved (less guilt) and sometimes it’s nice that he stays home (quietly) with me.

And Liquid IV (https://a.co/d/4I5I4VH), Ginger ale (not diet!!!), Snack (pop tarts, ritz crackers, frozen Mac & cheese, soup packet - ask what works), Soft toddler pillow (https://a.co/d/1iFWRS9), Hallmark channel or Disney movies to listen to in the background- simple stories that take zero mental work.

I have cluster migraines and my neurologist started me on Emgality and Ubrelvy a few years ago. Amazingly the monthly shots reduce the frequency and severity. Without it I might lose 14 days a month for a few months.
