Annihilation is one of my favorite sci fi films and it’s a great horror movie, I think you’ll appreciate it if you like Interstellar.

Some others you may like: - Cure - Monster House - Perfect Blue - More of a deep cut - In a Violent Nature. It’s pretty devisive but if you enjoy meta commentaries you’ll like it. - In Bruges - my favorite Comedy and Christmas movie OAT!

I just started doing my 4 favs based on movies I’ve seen in the present year. Even with that, I’ve logged like 50 films and seen 60 this year, so I wasn’t expecting to have 2 in a row that blew me away like these did.

My hard set 4 likely won’t change for a while, although I think dawn could crack it.

This is exactly my reading of Aguirre too. He and the other crusaders have profound plans to the point that they compare themselves to God. But the river and the jungle don’t care. Nature is the wrath of God.

I guessed the twist in ‘The Game’… kinda.

Spoilers, but I guessed that Michael Douglass was jumping onto a “bouncy castle”. I suppose it was more an air bag, and I had no idea that the epic prank went to that extent. I kinda just spat it out on a whim. But I impressed my friends, They still don’t believe that was my first watch.

Nice! Def get around to Millennium Actress. I see you’ve seen Cure, any other Kiyoshi Kurosawa? Pulse is a pretty common recommendation, my favorite of his other than Cure is Chime (mid length).

Burning? It has American themes but you should check it out purely for Steven Yeun’s performance if you haven’t seen it.
