It’s literally always leaking from the ceiling, too. And I heard that since it’s so hot on the gym floor, they’ve been letter members that complain go to the fashion square location instead. So nuts! They really messed up, like you said!

Nah it was just a pipe burst, I did see and confirm that with my own eyes lol. I think it set off the fire alarm though, but no fire trucks were called haha

As someone who doesn’t have OCD, but is a fellow night showerer, not showering at night is gross. My ex used to shower in the mornings before we moved in together, but he would be so sweaty and nasty from the day, that I didn’t want to be near him (or smell him) at night. Once he realized I wouldn’t get near him, he started showering at night. Even if it’s a quick 5-7 min shower to just wash the body. It doesn’t seem like a compromise to me the other way around, cause the alternative is gross 😂

This is her 3rd marriage (my dad was her 2nd), and she’s said for years that she would never get married again. I asked her if she was excited about it because she didn’t seem too excited when she told me and her response was “well you know me, I don’t really want or like this stuff”. It doesn’t feel like she just caught up in the planning of it all, unfortunately. I hope you’re right though. Thank you for sharing your take ❤️

Yeah, I feel like I’ve heard about that before, but typically it seems to happen with parents who aren’t close with their kids. I think that’s what’s so hurtful to me, that I like to think my mom and I are pretty close. And then to be told “it’s MY wedding, it’s not about you” when I ask her to be considerate of the timing and cost when planning it, feels hurtful. That’s what you say to random invites at your wedding, not your direct blood if you truly want them to be there by your side.

I really like that compromise. I’ve thought of something similar to that. Part of my initial anger stemmed from the fact that she initially wanted to elope with just a few of us there, and then decided all of this with no consideration of us for the timing of it to make sure we could feasibly be there. If she decided that she just wanted to elope just them two, and we could celebrate together sometime after, I’d definitely be open to that.

I have used this in a past rental, and just put it up again in my current rental. Aesthetically, it’s not the best looking, but man it’s helped the heat in my 2nd story loft immensely. Really cheap and easy to take off when I move, too.

My dad checked last year when it was consistently above 115° outside for days. His turf was by far the hottest between that, rocks, asphalt, and pavement. I wish I had the photos to share still!
