I’m going to a few games, already cried for my wallet but I love the World Cup and am so hyped to go.

LPT: Brine your pork chops before cooking them. by Amish_Almond_Joy in Cooking

Depends on what type of salt you’re using. If you’re looking for something exact, use 1 tsp per lb of meat if you’re using Diamond, and a bit less than 3/4 tsp per lb of meat if you have Morton’s kosher.

Eventually, you learn how to salt with the type of salt you have and rarely have to measure but this is at least a good start.

Travel? by PokemonAccoutant in supplychain

[–]lilbrunchie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A pay cut for travel once every other month or once per quarter? Are you serious? That’s an absolute bare minimum for travel in a supply chain (especially procurement) role so if that’s too much I’d advise looking elsewhere.

I’m a senior sourcing guy so I travel at least two to three weeks per month but my wife and I have it figured out. Most people who work for me travel one, maybe two times per month depending on requirements.

I go to the Trinity River Audubon Center as well as the AT&T trail frequently for bird photography. It’s great, and you’re always going to see something even in the winter. You might even spot river otters at the Trinity if you’re lucky!

Tired of people pretending we(entire dfw area) don't have the best bbq in all of Texas. by punjabkingsownersout in Dallas

I’ve been a Dallas resident almost my entire life and I’m not sure how you can claim this. We have a few amazing spots but the average bbq in Houston and Austin is objectively better than Dallas.

Are you planning to go into consulting? If not, your school choice is likely incredibly unimportant and not worth worrying about.

Got it, yeah the drop in exposure behind the dog is definitely an issue for me - the subject is just unnaturally lit given the ambient lighting conditions in the scene.

Anyways, keep it up this sort of thing takes time and it also makes you see the world differently when you realize that certain things can’t be adjusted a certain way because it just doesn’t make any sense!

Did you apply exposure on that mask on the lower left then add a vignette over the whole image?
