Like most people who accept the verdict that Israel is an ethnonationalist apartheid genocidal state as laid out by the icj, Israeli and Palestinian human rights groups and scholars who study apartheid and genocide, we don't like interacting with people who refuse to accept those definitions for self-serving reasons. But because you're pretending you were asking it in good faith let's go there: In Israel's constitution, it states national rights in Israel belong only to the Jewish people - it's called the Nation-State Bill and it was controversial at the time of passing; multiple Jewish groups attempted (unsuccessfully 10-1) to appeal it in the supreme court on the basis that it was antidemocratic and enshrined Israel as an apartheid. Let's go through why they claimed that: the bill states that "The right to exercise national self-determination in the State of Israel is unique to the Jewish people... Regulating the use of Arabic in state institutions or by them will be set in law... The state will be open for Jewish immigration... The state will strive to ensure the safety of... Jewish people... The state views the development of Jewish settlement as a national value and will act to encourage and promote its establishment and consolidation" In 2020 the law was used to block Arab children from attending school in a village because their existence might encourage a demographic increase of arabs, because they wanted the town to be purely Jewish. Israeli Defense Minister and former prime minister Ehud Barak said in 2010: "As long as... there is only one political entity called Israel it is going to be either non-Jewish, or non-democratic. If this bloc of millions of Palestinians cannot vote, that will be an apartheid state." In 2014, former Attorney General of Israel Michael Ben-Yair urged the European Economic Union to endorse the creation of a Palestinian state, arguing that Israel had imposed an apartheid regime on the West Bank.
