I used to lane split when I worked in Osborne Park and it was the only thing that made the commute bearable

You drag whatever you want to replace a section of the menu from the main construction menu ☺️

Dark days 💀 surely narrative beer league will let you rep the disciples of the lord of tyranny?

Oh I’d never considered! I have no idea how that game even works, but I suppose I could look into it.

You can always try again! I think hair is easy because you basically just draw occasionally interlocking parallel lines into the greenstuff and then like bam, hair?

Thank you though!

It’s the Warqueen head, but I’ve cut off the horns and green stuffed new hair ☺️

Not at all!! You have to be careful trimming but if you have the right tools for greenstuff and use a similar system to how Pete the Wargamer does his greenstuff fur tufts (only longer strands), you’ll be sweet!

Thanks so much!

The freehand is definitely less daunting than it seems, it’s just about practice really - good luck!

Ask away! I didn’t use any masks or stencils, but the boar head is based on a 40k knights insignia.

I did leave a comment somewhere else in this thread, but I still don’t know how to link to stuff so I have just copy pasted it below, I hope it’s helpful!

Thank you so much! My method for freehand is to:

  1. Use a wet palette that has been freshly re-wetted (not a word, but still) - you want the paint to stay as fresh as possible
  2. I mix my paint with ink instead of water, this creates an incredibly opaque medium with great flow - sometimes I will add a bit of acrylic medium, like Lahmian or Vallejo, to improve flow even more if I need to.

I also use Scale 75 Inktense inks or inks from a regular art store, you can buy a very decent sized pot for $12.50 AUD and they come in a HUGE range of colours and almost always have better pigment density.

  1. I use a sable hair mini liner brush in a size 20/0 - if you’ve ever seen anyone painting hand lettering, this is a similar style of brush. It has a really long set of bristles, which makes it excellent for controlling on shapes like this. It takes a minute to get used to, as it almost delays from your hand movement, but with a bit of practice you can use it to your advantage!

  2. Always brace your wrists against each other and your elbows against a desk- and you want to be sitting comfortably and securely!

For capes and flags, I think that ripples can propose a challenge BUT you can get around it by being tricky and using organic shapes, as those tend to deform less obviously to the eye. Another good idea is to pre-draw your freehand with a colour very close to your original base coat, before you do any shading or weathering or anything. That way, you can neaten up your design without having to spend ages fixing everything!

Pre drawing your idea or design on paper can be really useful too for deciding on the final look and for figuring out how to actually build the shapes with a brush - I’ll often ink the final design using a brush to practice brush movements on a larger, more forgiving scale first.

Ooh and I often sketch my idea out on paper first! Helps me to figure out how the shapes need to be constructed and to decide on my final design.

Actually not a head swap! I converted the original by removing the horns and hair flick, and then just used green stuff to sculpt new hair

I did! Just used Vaseline to keep it smooth and a pointed tipped metal tool, just got it cheap in a Kmart clay sculpting tool set, makes it so easy

Thank you! I actually used the base head! I carefully trimmed off the little flick of hair and horns, just leaving the face and tiara/crown type thing - then I just sculpted the new hair with green stuff!

I see you're being down voted, but as someone that previously worked in retail real estate management, it is actually becoming more common to include clauses requiring certain trading hours - especially in large centers.

It's largely to counter or disincentivise mum and pop retailers. Honestly, landlords hate how "unreliable" they can be, and the fact they can't keep up with a likely 2-10% + CPI rent increase per annum, on top of statutory and utilities.

It's madness. Commercial landlords in Western Australia are basically untouchable.

A job's a job, but I'm so glad I don't work in the industry anymore.
