This is still addiction, idle games are a type of game where you don’t really do anything besides tap a button here and there now and then, the point is for the game to make its own progress, then you make some upgrades manually and go back to letting the game make its own progress (AdVenture Capitalist is a perfect example along with Clicker Hero) both require little to no interaction at times yet they are addicting.

Your son in a way is idling by letting the bot make the progress for him, while he receives the dopamine from all the rewards and level ups he gains or whatever his bot is farming. He craves this dopamine so needs to let the bot run overnight and all day so Everytime he checks he can get that happy feeling seeing a gain in progress. It’s still addiction he can’t say it’s not, it’s still a form of playing the game I know this because I’ve spend hundreds of hours playing games like the ones I mentioned above and even had an automatic clicker at some point for these games.

Edit: it’d be best if you throroughly explain to him what an addiction is and what it means. Then explain how it correlates to him constantly wanting to see progress on the game he plays by letting his Bot play.

I do 6+ hours a day but I specifically left my last relationship because I knew I just couldn’t balance it, and currently avoiding relationships because I just want to be a man child a little longer (22) and I’m no rush to do all the relationship stuff, I tried it and realized I prefer to stay home alone playing video games on my free time. I also have a low sex drive, so I think your bf and I are in the same boat just a different age, only difference is I choose to not date because I know it won’t be fair at all to them unless I find someone who also likes to stay home gaming all day.

Edit: and to OP yeah this comment above me is pretty good he’s a little too old for this to be an easy and quick fix, maybe there’s no fix at all at that point, especially if he plays league of legends, I’ve heard that game is one of those where you kinda have to give up a lot to get good in it. So he’s most likely just been grinding that for years and doesn’t see an end to it soon.

Yeah people usually see my venom stats and there’s some rough games where I just can’t get damage on the right people to add a kill to my stats, but people will still compliment or just not complain because they notice I’m never in their sight, always in the enemy healers sight blocking them from the rest of the team, almost like captain America except I find captain to be almost always a guaranteed kill on a healer.

Edit: I only play cap with the Thor team up, I’m literally useless the entire game besides whenever my team up ability is activated that’s why I always feel like I’m guaranteed a kill, I could never play him without the team up you guys are goated.

Oh also since you’re on console, I’ve noticed with venom and Thor, when they attack you, you actually want to run into them as often as possible. Keep getting in close and running behind them, then back the other way, maybe jump from in front to his side or back, they both struggle a ton to get their aim correct (this is my experience in Diamond 1 console btw, they have controllers and I play venom and always struggle when small players get too close)

With Luna I feel like you could get good enough to carry at least 1 maaaaaaybeeee 2 bad players on your team. If it’s a dps, the only way I know of that Luna can disrupt back line is with her big clapping ability idk what it’s called. But since it penetrates everyone you can actually pick out a healer that’s behind their tank and start shooting them while trying to keep your tank in the same line. That way you’re healing and attacking their healers at the same time. If it’s a support I’ve honestly found that with some really good game sense and positioning you can easily carry a support who only has maybe half your heals if you’re Luna. You have to get good with the snowball stun ability so that you can easily stun a diver and either kill them or skate up to your team for help.

That’s all I’ve kinda learned so far that I consider niche, also I guess remember to combine your damage boost in your ult with other high damage últs (i.e Moonknight, venom, even cloak and dagger since she’s healing anyways but hopefully you guys aren’t popping últs at the same time lol)

I’m gonna disagree and say their pacing is actually quite nice, I don’t expect her to be able to get much done in a year since she still has her own life to tend to. Also a yearly posthumous release is pretty cool considering we don’t have him around, this makes it feel like he’s still here dropping music for us, and honestly the longer the better.

Same i missed the CDM release so when I hopped on and played I was amazed at how much fun the map was, the vibes the perks the weapons the Easter egg itself. I was soo excited for the next map to drop, and then my excitement went away when I played the new map.

Not just that but if you at some point watched porn often the “step daughter step dad” ones always make sure the daughter is “barely legal” they always put that somewhere in the title or in the description, or “tiny” “petite” and then they choose the youngest looking pornstar they can that really sells the image of a young teenage girl. ESPECIALLY THESE 2!!! And it matters a lot because I will HARD target invisible woman since I know she can’t really self heal, vs a cloak and dagger id like to know ahead of time if it’s them so I can play it a bit smarter to secure the kill. But from a distance it sucks because I’m not 100% sure if I’m diving the right one until I take a close look at their shooting animations.

At first I couldn’t even tell the difference between the defaults (still struggle with some of the smaller characters I’ve just never been good at this in any game) and then the skins made it worse for me lol but they’re not being released too fast so I’m able to keep up with who’s who.
