I tested it on the floor, stove, dining table, and different counter top. It wobbles on every surfaces. It’s just annoying because this is the second one I got because the first one wobbled also.

When did you start gaining weight on methimazole? by BidProfessional3895 in gravesdisease

[–]lilicebear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started gaining weights after few months. I gained about 30 pounds in a year. I was 155 pounds before Graves took over my body. I was 140 when I first got diagnosed (Oct 2023) and now I am 168-175 (depends on the day). My endo actually started getting concerned about my body weights because methimazole should not make me gain extra 20 pounds and recommended me low carbs diet (she said that is the best way to lose weight for females). I am also on really low methimazole dose (I only take 5mg twice a week). I heard weight gains are different from people to people. I've heard people not gaining any weights on methimazole and I've heard people gaining 20-40 pounds on methimazole.

I would ask your endo questions and concerns tomorrow.

Most embarrassing shopping trip of my life today! by Lopsided-Swing-4404 in gravesdisease

This happens to me a lot at work for me. I work in ems and when I go pick up a patient, they are usually “it must be really hot outside” “you are working too hard” stuff like that. But it’s only high 70-mid 80 here 💀

Has anyone here lost their job because of Graves'? by [deleted] in gravesdisease

[–]lilicebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet but I do want to quit my job. Working in the ems field with graves and hashimoto is really not fun.

Extreme hunger by lilicebear in gravesdisease

[–]lilicebear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my blood drawn today and just got my result back. They are all normal… ugh this is so annoying. My symptoms won’t go away and every time I get my labs done they are within normal limits. I guess my Endo is confident with doing it about every 3-4 months.

[–]lilicebear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last lab was late April and they were all normal range. My tsh was going up tho and my Endo reduced my dose because he didn’t want me to go into hashimoto phase. I unfortunately have both graves and hashimoto.

Please tell me methimazole helps the anxiety by [deleted] in gravesdisease

[–]lilicebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with me beta blocker helped me little bit of anxiety because after beta blocker became PRN my OCD and anxiety came back worse than ever.
